The Basics: The University of Northern Iowa football program will kick off the 2014 season against the Iowa Hawkeyes on Saturday, Aug. 30. The game is set to start at 11 a.m. and will mark the 17th meeting between the two teams.
About the Hawkeyes: Iowa will return 14 starters to the gridiron for the 2014 season, including eight seniors. The Hawkeyes finished the 2013 season 8-5 overall with a Big Ten record of 5-3, earning three All-Big Ten first team honorees.
