It certainly taps into the optimism that Catamounts fans have about the upcoming season. The Cats had 9 players selected on the two preseason all conference teams...
WCU's first team selections included junior lineman Josh Wineberg and redshirt junior wide receiver Karnorris Benson on offense; junior safety Sertonuse Harris on defense; and senior running back / return specialist Shaun Warren on special teams.

Second team nods went to junior tailback Darius Ramsey, sophomore wide receiver Terryon Robinson, senior linebacker Christon Gill, senior safety Ace Clark and senior placekicker Richard Sigmon.

I give WCU a lot of shit, but you guys could do well this year. A cousin of mine of a linebacker, so for sake of family, i'll hope for the best.

I truly do hope WCU can break out of the slump they've experienced for the last several years. I don't know if the coaching staff in place if necessarily the right team as-is, but it sounds like the recruiting efforts they've made are beginning to pay off somewhat.
