Delaware Blue Hens Spring Game

Spring Games are so tough to learn anything about a team and where they are at this early juncture. Summer Practice will be more telling, but here is my assessment of Spring Practice and the Spring Game.
The first big plays of the game was out of a wildcat position. The first from the Wildcat with Hurley getting the pitch and throwing a pass. The second was a swing out to Johnson who threw a long pass.
The rest of the game focused on the running game with RB Hills getting most of the action. He looks like a keeper.
Unfortunately, our senior QB, Hurley, who lead the CAA in Passing Rating last season, was on the bench after the first two series, and his backup, Burns, could not get command of the offense. If Hurley gets injured the Hens will not make the playoffs, as predicted by Many Prognosticators.
CAA Leader and possible ALL American Punter, Enderson started off slow, but got off a booming 70 yarder at one point.
Defense played well enough, but against the backup QB for most of the game, so too hard to gauge the D at this point?????
After losing one of the best Kickers in UD History to graduation, the kicking game looks to be in a rebuilding stage. That could really hurt in close games, and there may be many of those this coming season. Could be the difference maker????
It was good to see a list of Alumni on the Jumbo Tron who attending the Golf Outing on Friday. One of Which was Joe Flacco. Good to see he is still connected to his Alma Mater after his initial on-line comments about being highly disappointed with the KC Keeler firing last year. Many Blue Hen Fans are still very upset over KC's firing and are overly scrutinizing his replacement as a consequence. If Coach Brock can get the Hens back to the Playoffs this year, and then back to the National Championship within 3 years, much of the disgust with UD's Admin over the botched firing of Keeler may subside?
I think the 2014 Hens have a great chance at returning to the playoffs this year as long as Hurley stays healthy and the defense has improved immensely over one of the worst defenses in UD history last season?
