FBS transfers ... number six should be official on Thursday. Micah Eugene (LSU) and Jordan Batiste (Tulane) are huge gets.

Ah! The Delaware tactic being used here. I'm sure SELU will be improved but let's not award them the title yet. Hope to see you in the playoffs.

Portland State used to get quite few transfers too. Not sure if they still do.

SELA better grab all they can now. With Keeler now at SHSU the Southland may be more active than ever with transfers.

Never said anything about "awarding us a title" but we are loaded for 2014 - even without transfers. We'll have as good a chance as any.

The Southland has always been active with transfers, simply because there are so many FBS schools in our footprint and so many FBS players come from this area. When they transfer, they usually gravitate towards the FCS programs closer to home.

Perhaps that leads to some of the inconsistency and undisciplined play. It would seem upperclassmen who have been together and with the program the whole way might have an advantage in leadership and creating accountability.

Not trying smack SELU, you gotta do what ya gotta do.

Depends on your coaching staff and the types of transfers they take. We had outstanding leadership this year, coming from both transfers and guys who've been in our program four and five years. Some staffs are better at team building than others. Of course it helps when you play a lot of players each week.
