Hate generally comes with success, and I hate to say it but, the Big Sky is generally the best all-around conference year in and year out.

Ill give you credit for the ugliest field, but we are still the most hated team in the league. I sat in front of a former EWU player and near several obnoxious EWU fans in Cheney last year and heard nothing but FTG, jizz on the Griz, sheep fuckers, and rapists chants for an entire game. The former player kept blabbering on about his hatred for the Griz. I asked him why he hated us and he couldn't come up with any specific reason. I asked him when he played at ewu and after he told me I figured out the reason for his hate stemmed from losing 3 of 4 to the Griz during his playing days.

Seriously. It is something that is kind of perpetuated...a lot of EWU fans have no idea why they don't like the Griz, etc. It's mostly a student thing.

As for me, AlphaBison is the reason I hate the Griz.

I think of lot of that has to do with some of your fan base. Same goes for NDSU. I don't care about EWU, but there are some fan bases that do the team harm. There were some SoCon teams like that. I think the OVC and the Big South are hated.

A lot of EWU player hate the griz bc they're dirty player. Tuff Harris was one of the most dirtiest players I've ever played against.

When I talk with people around the Sky, the team that comes up most often as "We hate you!" is Montana.

As for me, it boils down to two who I believe don't belong here: SUU and UND. No real rational reason for that, just a feeling that they're seriously out of the conference footprint and the failure of SUU to prevent a 4-6 team from winning a conference title. The case for Montana is much more rational: getting tired of losing to the Griz so much over the years. While EWU has been really good of late, that feeling doesn't exactly extend back more than about five years or so; that feeling has been around for Montana at least since the mid-'90s.

Most hated usually means they have been successful. Montana is probably the most 'hated' in the Big Sky because of all of their success the last 20 years.

I was hoping they would have beaten Coastal Carolina to see them in the FD get pounded.

I have never witnessed a fanbase, as a whole, on a bigger ego trip than NDSU's. Years ago, AZ and I were talking about NDSU...and speculating THEN on how big of a dickhole fan base they could become. Could they rival FBS teams on the FCS level. Apparently we were correct.
