Since the winner is not announced until Dec. 16, I am guessing so.

Although I haven't heard his name much, West's numbers are a little bit on the ridiculous side.

That guy from South Dakota State not being on the list is a travesty unless there's some rule about it having to be a senior.

I've seen the Towson back play and at least based on just seeing each play one game I'd rather have the guy from South Dakota State on my team. Now the game I watched was a game Towson lost (Villanova) and in which the Towson guy was held to 61 yards rushing. And the first time I saw that South Dakota State guy play was this past weekend against Northern Arizona where he got 249 rushing yards. But he just flat looks a whole lot more explosive and dangerous than the Towson guy. It's hard for me to believe that if the two were playing on the same team that the South Dakota State guy wouldn't be starting over the Towson guy.

In any case how could he NOT be on the list of finalists? IS the list limited to seniors only?

Instead of typing all that drivel out you could've done a quick Google and discovered that Adams is a sophomore and West is a junior. :coffee:

Yes I was ignorant with respect to the rules for the award. Whoopdie doo. Shoot me for not looking it up when I was in the middle of typing a post and wondering how the heck the guy from South Dakota State isn't on that list.

Yeah. He has an NFL body and release. Every NFL team has sent scouts and several GMs have been at the games and practices for him and Lora.

When does your menstrual cycle begin? Ignorance is no excuse, especially when 2 minutes reading the news release (which was posted in thread) would have cleared your questions up. F- ing lemming.

Adams will win the Payton, Daly will win the Buck, and The Freshman WR from EWU will win the newcomer/freshman award. BIG SKY SWEEP!!!

Well, #1 is highly probable, #2 is definitely doable and #3 is a virtual lock. So yes, there is a good chance it's a big sky sweep....then again, they may make it not happen just SO it isn't a Big Sky Sweep.

Coach Baldwin is also a finalist for the Robinson. It'll probably come down to him, the EIU Coach, and Bohl. Personally, I'd really love to see Baldwin win it. I feel like he got snubbed in 2010. Although EWU has won the Big Sky outright before, they have never gone undefeated in conference play.

Eastern has also never defeated a Pac 12 team...let alone an AP Top 25 team.

This will be a tough one. One coach is the two time defending champ and is undefeated. Babers at EIU turned a 2-9 program into two time OVC champs and into a FCS force this year. I honestly do not know much about Baldwin, but it seems that he has built a solid program.

I will guarantee Adams does not win the Payton UNLESS a miracle happens and EIU gets ousted this week. Otherwise, it goes to Garropolo. And even as an Eastern fan, I have no problem with that. The kid will be drafted early and is so instrumental in his teams' success that his importance really can't be measured.

Honest question because I have not seen EWU.

How many times did Adams get pulled from a game in the 3rd or 4th quarter, or rely on the running game heavily on the second half because the game was in hand? I know that EIU was often up 21+ points at half or early in the 3rd quarter so Garoppolo was pulled for a back-up or the running game was used. Not that it should have a huge impact (if any) on the WP Award, but would Adams' stats be as close to Garoppolo if Jimmy played more full games? (Kinda of a "duh" question, but something worth considering.)

I feel like Garoppolo should win because to me he is more detrimental to his team's success then West or Adams are. He is clearly the MVP of EIU, while you could say EWU and Towson have enough talent on their teams that without those 2 stars those teams would still be successful.
