NDSU over Furman - 100% (36-11 avg. score)
Montana over CCU - 78% (39-31)
Maine/UNH - 50% (27-27)
SELU over SHSU - 77% (36-30)
EWU over SDSU - 90% (37-23)
McNeese over Jax St. - 83% (40-30)
Towson over Fordham - 93% (41-27)
EIU over TSU - 100% (43-18)

Maine vs. New Hampshire is the most interesting one up there, especially given the overall record difference. I also think McNeese & EIU could have more trouble than those numbers forecast. And as for UM/CCU, I'm sure the computer sims don't factor in weather. ;)

Iba asked it for a CCU victory and received the following response:

Why would anybody be "Home" for the championship?

Only option is to have one home and an away team no neutral field option. Again computer stuff is crap but it's fun to see something other than bias opinion.

When do you leave the board for good again? We accepted Col Hogan sticking around because he is a good guy...TRIP can do as he pleases...ASU fans, they all got HOT HOT HOT and will get burned for moving up.

Doesn't make me as a McNeese fan feel better given how badly McNeese has played in the playoffs starting in 2003. I'll feel better when they play well in a playoff game again. Well, I guess I've feel better if they play poorly and win anyway. But I just don't think they've played well and I'm going to have to see them do it before I feel confident that they'll do it.

Also doesn't help that Jacksonville State looked so dominant last week. The OVC went a long time without a playoff win but that was a "legit" playoff win. Tennessee State's win you can say, "well OK" because they were playing the first Pioneer League team to get in. Jacksonville State whacked a Southern Conference team and I mean they WHACKED them. Yes I know the Southern Conference is down but that was an impressive performance nonetheless.

Just for fun I'm going to translate Sagarin rating information in to "probability of win" estimates and see how it compares:

NDSU over Furman - 98%
Montana over CCU - 56%
Maine over New Hampshire - 58%
SELU over SHSU - 76%
EWU over SDSU - 53%
McNeese over Jax St. - 65%
Towson over Fordham - 81%
EIU over TSU - 92%

I don't know who wrote the program for this, but I guarantee you he wouldn't back a 9-1 bet against South Dakota State. I'm the biggest EWU fan in the World, but anyone who makes the Eagles a 9-1 favorite is a friggin retard.
