ESPN Petition

Once again this year ESPN has the rights to broadcast the FCS playoff games. However, instead of putting the games on ESPN, ESPN2, or ESPNU, we have again been relegated to "live streaming only" on ESPN 3. The problem? Many of the areas that have FCS teams don't have the internet capability (including the cable companies) to broadcast ESPN3, so unless you have tickets to the game you will be left out in the cold. ESPN will not allow local broadcasts of the games, so the only way to get these games out there for everyone to watch is to make your voice heard. Go to the Facebook petition page at the following link
https://www.facebook.com/events/1479409 ... l_activity" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and click on "Going" to sign the petition to have ESPN move the broadcasts so they are available to people that want to watch them. It worked before, ESPN moved games to their GamePlan package, so let them hear it once again!

Agreed on the Gameplan. At least ESPN can make some coin on the games.

I actually like ESPN3 because it gives access to games that otherwise would not be televised, but it has it's nuances. For example, I can never get decent quality video out of ESPN3 on Google Chrome so I always use Internet Explorer for streams now. Luckily I can connect my pc straight to my TV, but I understand for others it's just not possible. Hopefully they add the option to watch on TV.

I can't get Chrome to work at all - I know I need to update something, but just don't care to figure it out.
The format I REALLY like is my Nexus tablet with the WatchESPN app. That thing has a great picture and switches between games quickly. Not only that, I can take it to the shitter if need be!!

ESPN3 vs Gameplan? If you're watching at a bar I guess it makes a difference, otherwise ESPN3 is my preferred viewing. It's not that hard, I live in an area that doesn't have a cable provider that covers it but I use someone else's login and it works fine.
ESPN puts some games on their main 3 networks but lets all be honest, they're not stupid, they know what people watch and they watch FBS games or decent college hoops more than the FCS. Ratings numbers don't lie.

I just stopped watching ESPN, period. I watch Fox Sports 1 now, EXCEPT if the USC Gamecocks are playing on ESPN. Aside from Charleston Southern, that's my favorite team. And they play on ESPN sometimes, so I have no choice.
But aside from South Carolina games, I avoid ESPN like the plague. Screw 'em.
