felt like i learned something there. I'm usually curious about rivalries and after watching that i realize how heated that rivalry is… not knowing much about Montana State, i just rooted for Montana over the past years. i do recall McNeese having to play both Montana State 1st round then Montana in the 2nd round back in 2002. would be curious to hear the chatter back then about a potential rematch after 1 of those 2 teams obviously won that game just weeks before the potential rematch…… DoubleNicks do you have any good stories about Montana fans messing with MSU fans or vise versa? any stories in general? feel like you got a story you wanna tell us

Telling stories would take years. You'll get everything from batteries being thrown to cars being keyed. Both sides can suck and both sides can be fun. I personally like the setting the teddy bear on fire... :thumb:

I never understand why some people do that. I was so pissed when I saw that. And it conveniently (lucky for the people that throw those) never happens next to me or I'd wreck them.

Ditto. Minus the wrecking part, I'm kind of a wimp.

MSU fans do something to a teddy bear before each game. In their homecoming parade they drag a stuffed animal (griz) behind a float every year - doesn't matter who they are playing.

Which makes it all the more sweeter when we march into Brosmen and swat them like a fly.

What he said. :thumb: Too many stories and both sides are guilty of dishing it.

I lived in Bozeman for a few years and when I wore my Griz gear around town I would get called out nearly every time. Would get a FTG or "go back to Missoula" a lot! I didn't mind it, though. The funniest thing was going to house parties and wearing a Griz hoody or hat and the look on my friends' faces that didn't previously know I was a Griz fan. I managed to avoid any fights although I was close a couple of times (once with a co-worker who I normally got along with but he had had too much to drink and didn't like the fact that I was wearing Griz gear). Oh, and I'm not a very good-looking guy so I think being a Griz fan worked to my advantage and was some kind of taboo thing/turn-on for some of the Cat girls.

And MSU fans throw skittles at your helmet. And it hurts really bad.

That was the year the Cats broke a 16 game losing streak to us. A rematch would of been interesting

...that was also the year we went from the #1 rank and x game winning streak with a 10-0 record to 11-3 and out of the playoffs by round 2 :ohno:

I agree, though I'm not sure it was necessary to do, like, two full replays of just about every play.

I just noticed the Big Sky has posted several highlight reels like this on youtube. http://www.youtube.com/user/BigSkyConf/ ... =2&sort=dd

Now that I watch the highlights of the EWU UM game. Clark SHITTED on the griz DBS and LBS!! He shitted on 5 ppl and stretched for the pylon for the TD. He absolutely SHITTED ON the griz D. He pulled down his pants and took a thanksgiving turkey-sized shit on the artificial turf and the refs agreed it was sufficient & gave him 6 points.

And speaking of shit. MSU fans. I can help but notice how TERRIBLE #3 is on your defense. He really is terrible. It's not so much physically but if u keep your eye on him vs EWU and vs UM, he's a bitch... He just not mentally tough. If he's an underclass men don't start that kid another game. Shaun Johnson is the future at MSU. ( if he's an underclass men)

Damn, you noticed exactly what I noticed when we played MSU. Clearly, Vernon and Baldwin noticed it too, since they went at him all game long and he never once made a play. I couldn't believe that at Montana State, they couldn't find anyone that could play better than that. He was abysmal.

We normally have two guys better than him, but both were out most if not all of that game. We also struggled with covering your WR's with a Linebacker. #16 (Moore) is a very good LB, but could not keep up that game with your speed...He also dropped an easy INT towards the end of the first half.
