Thanks to the new brackets with 24 teams, as long as TSU beats Butler in the opening round, the OVC will have a quarterfinalist for the first time since 1996.

There are OVC people out there, we are just quiet since we know it has been forever since one of our teams have done anything in the playoffs. Hoping that changes this year.

Yes, I myself have also been a forum reader (laugher) instead of a participator. . . Maybe this is the year we can win a playoff game since. . . Desert Storm?! *sigh*

EIU looks to have a solid chance of ending the drought. I am worried that TSU will look past Butler and not perform like they should. JSU could pull of a home win as well. Now, can any of those teams make a run to Texas?

To Texas? Ill give EIU the Semi's but I dont think they'll make it to Texas, too many teams have to much experience down the long haul. EIU is use to 11 game seasons, most the teams that make it to the Semis are use to 13+ game seasons. . . TSU. . . depends on which team shows up, JSU is a toss up with Samford. . . .IMO

Fair enough. But I don't think one win for the OVC is good enough this year. EIU is going to be tough at home, not losing there in two years. Granted, the competition will be tougher as the weeks go by. Give them credit for their 4 point loss at NIU.
TSU will be better if the choose to show up. At least they are healthier.

I think EIU is good enough to have a shot to make it to Texas.
