Predict the FCS playoffs…

Bored today and I just drew up what I think will be the host sites for the 1st and 2nd rounds of the upcoming FCS playoffs
2nd round hosts:
#1 North Dakota State
#2 Eastern Illinois
#3 Eastern Washington
#4 Maine
#5 Coastal Carolina
Southeastern Louisiana
Northern Arizona
Towson
1st round hosts:
San Diego
Chattanooga
Montana
New Hampshire
…thoughts? comments? your predictions!

You left out some teams to host since there are 8 first round games. San Diego declared themselves ineligible, you don't think much of McNeese. Let's see someone just rattle off all 24 teams that get in.

Ah! I didn't realize San Diego declared themselves ineligible. As far as McNeese, that's my school. I didn't want to give us a home game for "superstitious" purposes

they must have changed the format again and didn't tell me
. i know there is a "first round" with 4 games. ahhhhh just looked it up and see they expanded it again! well shoot. good. I'm glad the FCS is growing its fun to watch.

I wonder if Fordham and Sam Houston are in trouble with a loss given their starting QB's are not playing. If the QB's are out for the playoffs may not make much sense putting them in the field.

What is their tiebreaker?
Found it...
According to the SoCon, in a two-way tie UTC would get the bid over Furman but lose out to Samford because of the results of their head-to-head matchups.
In the three-way scenario, with all three teams going 1-1 against the other two, the tiebreaker moves to head to head against the next team down in the standings, which is the bunch at 4-4. Furman will claim the automatic bid there because it went undefeated against the teams currently at 4-4 or that can get there Saturday, while UTC lost to Georgia Southern and The Citadel beat Samford.

If UM doesn't get a first round bye it will be because of a loss to MSU. Your grouping would have to list them as a host in the first round because of the number of tickets they would guarantee to the NCAA after beating the Griz. Did I see someone say that San Diego was on a self imposed playoff ban as well???

This seems pretty reasonable, but I'm guessing W&M will get in if they don't lose to Richmond. UNH will likely get in as well if they upset Maine, then those two may take out a couple bubble teams like Chattanooga or TSU or Charleston Southern or SCSU.
I also don't think Fordham will get a seed.

Yup. ------If------ montana wins they've got a strong case. They wd only have two losses. One being to #2 EWU and playoff team NAU. However I'm not convinced they'll beat msu in Bozeman. I also think EWU will be in Frisco this year. EWU's offense is strong!
