Not that this has anything to do w/ this lol (although I suppose it sort of does!) while we were wandering the MSU tailgate a couple of days ago, one of my compadres was convinced to torch a grizzly bear while he was already 2/3's blitzed for the day lol... Apparently MSU burned a Grizz before every home Bobcat game?

Even when not playing the Griz, they are infatuated with Montana.

I agree it is silly, but the group that does it loves it. The fans from the other team seem to get a kick out of it as well. All in good fun I guess....And it keeps the plush bear market in Bozeman thriving.

Hah love the rivalry... and looking forward to the matchup. I'd say due to pure rival nature, it's a toss up, but if I had to put money on it, I'd uncomfortably place my greenbacks on the Grizz

I plan on beheading a stuffed bobcat and parading around the tailgate area with the head displayed on a pike.

I agree with that as well. There are jerks on both sides, but at the end of the day, we can all agree that the Cats have far better and well informed fans than the griz....

Forgive my ignorance as a newcomer, but I'm confused. You have "Grizz" in your name, and make posts about the Grizz/Bobcat game, but you have SUU as your team? Just curious.

More than welcome to stop by our tailgate party. We are on the booster (west) side in the VIP section. Between the Bobcat Club and Universal Athletics. Normally have about 100 people at it. Great crowd, with about 20 ex players spanning over 30 years. About 15 different things to eat, and tons to drink.

Actually, kind of had a hard on for SUU after they came to Missoula 10? years ago and got smoked. Really liked your QB the last couple of years. SUU has been really close to turning the corner the past few years but always seem to lose the one game they shouldn't. UC DAVIS this year.

SUU is who I root for.

I also wanted to get on the SUU bus early so i wouldn't be labeled a bandwagon fan this year after SUU smokes EWU, Montana and NDSU inroute to beating EIU in the Chipper.

NOPE. I do hope Montana mops the floor with MSU, but I am a SUU fan. You told me to get off the bus, and I did. I needed a ride, so I hitched up with SUU.
