I think he should be FBS but none of them thought that; I think he'll play in the NFL one day too but most will tell you that I'm stretching it. That's cool. Keep an eye on him.
Who do you have?
What former Aggie RB does he remind you of???

I agree Cooper Kupp is hands down freshman of the year.
VA should get the Payton too

Can't remember the last time I've seen a freshman dominate games like he does. Sure hope he leaves early.

Nice try, you'll get another 3 years of this guy! And another 2 seasons of Vernon Adams. BTW Kupp has a TD catch in EVERY GAME THIS SEASON.

Yeah, he should probably have a chat with Kaufman before he thinks about leaving early.

Three App State beast freshmen. If one were to win it... it'd be Cox... since he plays offense and wracks up the stats.
Marcus Cox RB
184 carries, 916 yards, 5.0ypc, 9 TDs, 91.6 yds/gm, 39 catches, 535 yards, 13.7ypc, 5 TDs, 53.5 yds/gm in 10 games.
John Law LB
64 TKL, 1 TFL, 1 SACK, 3 INT, 1 QBH, 1 FR, 1 FF
Bentlee Critcher P
47 punts, 2134 yards, 45.4avg, 63 long, 5 TB, 11 FC, 12 I20, 16 50+

dal4018...I have no idea. I have not kept up with NC A&T football until this year; because of Tarik is why I am. I'm from his area. I've watched or listened to every game this year however (online)....I wish they had played him more earlier in the year for numbers reasons only. I may try and get to Greensboro in the next couple of weekends. He had nothing to prove to me....dude is tough and quick and fast....I expected something near the
160 YPG rushing and ~40 receiving that he has the last 5 weeks. The height and the size to me is a good thing if tough enough to handle it....short RBs are hard to see until they hit the hole in top gear and often then, it is too late. Tarik had the fastest 40 time average in last year's NC Shrine Bowl combines at 4.38 and 4.4. He could help a ton of ACC schools, if they can block! Over the years I've compared him to Jacquizz Rodgers, Darren Sproles, Chris Thompson FSU/Washington...
I hope the coaches don't overuse him...30 carries last week is too many, although he got 181. 17-25 is perfect...use him some as bait going one way and give it to someone else going the other. I like the shuffle pass, like the 80+ he took to the house or a screen with good blocking. Get him in space and let him work. Teams have 11 pair of eyes following him over every play...work that to A&Ts advantage. Gig 'em some. A&T should have 1, 2 losses at most. Too many TOs and penalties....I see some fundamentals that could be improved.
I hope he does well on and off the field and gets a degree and a shot at more football. I hope he can stay away from the leaches. I wish the young man nothing but the best and I'll be keeping up.
I was thinking of a young Maurice Hicks only smaller but faster.Kupp is my guy to win frosh of the yr.

That's not just a shot either, there's truth to that. Fucking greedy scum agents getting into the kids ears.
Although I am surprised neither the Bills or any of the other 31 gave him a shot. All he does is produce.
That being said, I hope Baldwin and VA feed Kupp even more the next two games, I want to see Kupp break Rice's freshman records.

Great stats and a really good FCS team....dynamite QB. Put him on the A&T team with the A&T QB. You guys know FCS much better than I.
I know there are others doing very well too.
With all due respect A&T does not throw the ball all that much.If he were at Jackson St in the SWAC it would be much different. They are a pass happy team like Eastern Washington. This guy needs a taste of track& field that 4.65 will drop immediately to 4.44 maybe 4.37????

Cooper Kupp ain't ever running a 4.44. He doesn't have to.

Why not it will help if he has any NFL aspirations!!!!

Yeah, it will help.

He'd have to be on a motorcycle to get through 40 yards in 4.44.

I've only watched 1/2 the year from high school....I'd guess 4.7 at best. His team and their offense helps him a ton (his numbers)...that's what I was saying. The QB looks really good...what's he headed towards?...4000+ passing year for the year? If he ever runs a legit 4.6 he'll have improve greatly in speed and Jerry Rice and Anquan Boldin didn't need to be the fastest guys on the field.
Granted those guys are not to be confused with Bob Hayes,Randy Moss but that is a aspect of Cupp's game he will have to work on in the future.

I'm not saying he's "naturally slow"...but you don't go from 4.7 to 4.4 through "hard work" either.

Why not Miles Austin went from running a 4.6 to a 4.44 he worked out with Don Beebe now look at him one of the leagues top deep threats.

He is ranked 6th nationally in terms of yds per avg. not bad for a frosh!!!!Can't wait to see him in playoffs!!! 4th nationally in receiving yds.

What type of offense did he play in while at Northern Iowa if he were at Eastern Washington I say his name would be heard with that 4.19 he clocked.Maybe he is on somebody's practice squad????

dal...I had not noticed that you were a SC St. fan until you had posted in this thread a couple of times. When A&T played SC St., Tarik Cohen was still being played as their #3 RB even though he did get more yards rushing the in that game than the other 2 guys. He did rush 8 times for 62 yards and that was double his normal load up to that point. Personally I think the A&T coaches were slow bringing him in and I know one of the senior backs they had coming back had received some preseason AA watch stuff. Within 2 weeks after the SC St. game the A&T head coach was throwing out Cohen superlatives. The game after SC St. Cohen had 299 yards rushing and receiving in the next game. After the game the coach said,"We've got to start playing him more; he's our best player. He's small but he's special and tough. He has great vision and great change of direction."
Actually I support all HBCU's black colleges the reason I mentioned Maurice Hicks is because he was undersized as is this guy Cohen 5-11 200 he (Hicks)holds the 1-AA mark for rushing yards in a single game 437 from '01vs Morgan St.This guy might just break that mark before he leaves school. He also reminds me of ex-NY Giant RB Joe Morris 5-6 200 4.44 from the mid 80s.Your right the ACC's loss was the MEAC's gain.Next yr the Aggies should be thinking about the playoffs with this guy and they have diamond in the rough in their WR core Kevin Francis 6-5 200 he should definitely take advantage of this situation as the team's top deep threat.
