Coastal drops from #6 to #17...following a CLOSE loss to a ranked team with 9 wins entering the game?!?

That's kinda steep for a first loss under those conditions....

That is what happens when you play in a shitty conference. :coffee:

EIU and SHSU should be ahead of EWU.

In line with what Sagarin and Massey have (13th and 18th). The thing is you look at Charleston Southern and you see stuff like a 23-15 win over Shorter. Shorter is a 1-9 D-II team that, as it happens, lost by 63-17 to West Alabama this past Saturday. Earlier in the season they lost 41-0 to North Alabama. Also lost by 41-0 to Valdosta State. You can't help but wonder about a FCS team that barely got by them.

But we'll find out come playoff time.

The Big South is trying to improve. Luckily, we're losing VMI to the SoCon.

Honestly, I expected CCU to drop to the 15 spot or somewhere around that number. :coffee:

Owning the SoCon this year helped a lot. Id love to see Chattanooga and Samford s CSU CCU in playoffs.

Sorry, had to get that out of my system.

Others receiving votes: Florida A&M (3-7)

The credibility of the SN poll is shot when you have voters that either don't take it sersiously, or who use it as PR for the school they cover. Not very professional IMO.

That was a generic term for sports writers and such. If the credibility is shot, then why talk about it?

Florida A&M? Really? That's bad.

Give FAMU some credit. They now have a quality win over 3-7 Norfolk State, and they did come within 11 touchdowns of upsetting Ohio State.

To make fun of it. I put NO stock in the polls or computers.

so, with a hurt qb at Fordham and a really tough game for SELA how far do they drop in the next poll if they lose considering their schedules and conferences?

How is NAU ahead of Montana State? They have the same conference record, and got massacred by MSU.

I see Tenn St has returned to being among the elite. And it's about time New Hampshire was removed from the list.

The Rattlers haven't been the same since Billy Joe manned the sidelines with his pass happy scheme in the early millenium.
