How is Villanova not ranked? One of their fans pointed out that they are really high in all the computer rankings. Their five losses were all quality losses. How are these pollsters missing a solid .500 squad like Nova?
- Spoiler: show

Wow. No love for Charleston Southern. They were 16th, beat 3rd ranked Coastal and moved to 10-1 with a lone loss to Pac12 Colorado.......and they only move up to 13th....2 spots behind Coastal Carolina (not that CCU doesn't deserve to be 11th, they do). Its ok though, if they just keep winning, win the conference, and they'll get a playoff shot.
Glad to see Coastal is still top 15. They'll lose to South Carolina, but win the other one and finish 10-2 and hopefully get an at-large bid. Was hoping CSU could compete for a home playoff game, but they'll need some help now, as GWU and Liberty aren't ranked and wont help their ranking much if CSU wins. Big IF though, b/c Liberty and GWU will be tough games.

I don't know why, but New Hampshire has been getting it's ass kissed every week in the polls. Wofford? They're ok, but, 5-4 isn't that great. 1 loss was to Baylor.
Princeton is just not getting any love.

I do think FCS has some of the factors that FBS does with the SEC, as in there seems to be a trend towards giving the benefit of the doubt to teams from the Northwest and Great Plains/Rocky Mountain area teams. Which they've earned from past years, so, if we don't like it, just beat 'em in the playoffs.

The beauty of FCS is just win, make the playoffs, and prove it there. My team is, hopefully, gonna have a shot at that for the first time ever. Hope we can make a decent showing.

IMO, both teams are paper tigers and will get bounced in their first game (if they both even make it).

Based on what? Neither are traditional names, and don't play in the Northwest or Rocky Mountain region, which seems to get most of they hype in FCS lately, especially with the SoCon imploding.

Neither team has beaten anyone even remotely good.

Nova has three loses to the number 5 & 6 ranked teams in fcs and Boston college who is a good ACC team who would be comparable to Ndsu in fcs. 5-2 on remaining games with wins over the highly ranked Towson and William & Mary teams. They should be in the conversation after they beat Delaware by 20.

You can't get to the bare minimum 7 D1 wins. Your season was over two weeks ago. It'll likely take 8 D1 wins this year anyway. You guys are way, way out of that picture. Better luck in 2014. Next.

Doesn't mean they're not one of the top 25. Two completely different conversations.

You know, I want Southeastern Louisiana to lose this weekend but to me them being rated behind Sam Houston State and McNeese kind of confirms that pollsters go on past reputation. There is no way, none, that someone could be looking just at what's happened this year and not have Southeastern Louisiana ranked ahead of both of them at this point.
Like I said I hope that Sam Houston State upsets Southeastern this week and makes the pollsters look smart. But believe me when I tell you that it WOULD be an upset.
