Weber 20-35 Portland St. — We'll see if Weber is really making any progress
Cal Poly 24-10 Davis — We'll see how the 'Stangs respond now that they're effectively out of it
Montana 31-21 Sac State — We'll see if Marshall Sperbeck can avoid falling to 0-7 after bye weeks
EWU 42-16 Idaho St. — We'll see if Eastern has a letdown… nah, it won't matter
NoDak 14-45 NAU — We'll see if NAU can actually throttle someone they should
Montana St. 35-17 NoCo — We'll see if the Bobcats remember how to pass (UNC's run D is solid)

If there was ever a week to pick the chalk, it looks like it's this one. Only the Portland State / Weber State and Cal Poly / UC Davis games seem mildly debatable (*mildly*, but still chalky).
Of course, now that means it'll be upsets aplenty.

And if you think about it, it's really been chalk most of the way. Perhaps Davis beating SUU??? No others really come to mind.

The reason I'm not predicting a blow out over ISU is because we're missing 2 Safeties that were lost in the Montana game. When Brown went out in the 3rd quarter and Montana started passing, we weren't able to stop it. ISU throws on every down and distance, so I expect they will get some yardage/points. I do think we win handily in a shoot-out, however.

49-24 so far, pretty sad. My quest for perfection this weekend. Should be interesting...
CP at UCD---After two straight heartbreaking losses, the Mustangs had to wake up and realize they are out of the playoff chase for now. Now they have to refocus and play out the string, something the Aggies have been doing all season...UCD 24, CP 21.
EWU at ISU---The Eagles are coming off a big win at Montana and are looking forward to their game against Montana State. First, though, they have to get by the Bengals, in their big Pocatello barn, where weird things happen. Maybe not the blowout everyone wants...EWU 38, ISU 27.
UM at Sac State---The Grizzlies had to rally in the fourth quarter to make things interesting against Eastern Washington. The Hornets had a bye week to prepare for this tilt, against a team they have not had very much success against. This may be close...UM 32, Sac State 29.
MSU at UNC---The Bobcats took care of UC-Davis last week and eagerly anticipate their game against Eastern Washington. First they have to deal with the Bears, who have not been playing well this year. Can they break through against the strong Bobcat team?...MSU 34, UNC 21.
UND at NAU---The Lumberjacks cannot lose the momentum from last week's win over Cal Poly and bring in the struggling former Sioux, who had Portland State where they wanted last week, but couldn't close the deal. Too bad as this will be tough...NAU 28, UND 14.
WSU at PSU---It wasn't that long ago this game was a barnburner. Both teams going up and down the field, scoring at will with the Wildcats winning 73-68. Remember the fun that Drew Hubel and Cameron Higgins had, leading both teams back and forth. This will be the opposite...PSU 21, WSU 10.

Overall, that might be true, JAL, but we're riding a one-game winning streak (one season removed) against UM.

Pretty close to what I went with, other than the spread on PSU/WSU.

5-1 for the week, 54-25 for the year. Took a flyer that Poly may not have something to play for and Davis would, I was wrong on that. Still, I knew that UM/Sac would be close.

Perfection for me as well. And what was up with MSU squeaking past UNC? Where is cats (or any cat fan) to explain what happened?

Watching that game yesterday on the TV, the Bobcats scored 2 TD's quickly then focused their attention on EWU this next week, thinking the game was in hand. Lobato for UNC started slinging the ball pretty well, but the Bobcats woke up just in time.

For what ever reason the Cats never seem to play very well down there. I do agree with Jalmond that after the first two quick TD's they might have thought it was in the bag and they could coast from there. How wrong they were.
Anyways, it's a win and now they need to focus on EWU. They had better play a hell of a lot better, or EWU could run away with it.
Sounds like both EWU and MSU will be hurting in the secondary. MSU lost their third corner and I think EWU is down a safety or two.

You guys can have our corners and safeties. I think we should run out the dance and flag teams to slow down opponents passing attacks.

Four, technically.
But we should be able to get one of the starters back (Allen Brown) for MSU. Hopefully.
