I'm spitballing here, but...
SDSU 58 - EIU 10
SIU 48 - EIU 7
SIU 30 - EIU 11
Illinois St 24 - EIU 13
SIU 21 - EIU 6
WIU 48 - EIU 9
UNI 49 - EIU 43
Montana 45 - EIU 13
UNI 21 - EIU 14
SFA 34 - EIU 29
I mean maybe this isn't your same old EIU team, but how many times do you have to be hit over the head before you duck?

Past results are no guarantee of future performances. Montana fans said NAU would never beat Montana - now we have a two-game win streak.
This EIU team has beaten San Diego State, Southern Illinois, Illinois State, and came within 4 points of a top 20 FBS Northern Illinois.

Oh good lord, man. No one, not even some Griz fans, is dumb enough to think that we'll beat certain team every year for the rest of eternity.

Those that choose to ignore the past are doomed to repeat it. We have playoffs. EIU will have a chance to prove all the doubters wrong, but you were wondering why folks weren't believing quite yet. IMO it's tough to ignore 20 years of history. EIU will break through one year, could very well be this year. I'm guessing Montana fans saying "never" were talking smack.

I agree, EIU looks pretty legit and I think they'll win some playoff games. I think the big question is whether or not they will be able to hang with the really good teams from the power conferences in the quarters and semis.
