Florida st. doesnt care about that 450,000... they will probably get 1.75 mill from the tv comp to play on labor day. PLUS the national exposure, higher attendance, higher t-shirt sales. plus they help maine get syracuse to avoid the 900,000 price tag.
dont be fooled byt these universities.. they *are* businesses, all that money does NOT go to the endowment.

Very good move for Maine. Not only do they get the paycheck from FSU to cancel add on the paycheck from Syracus and then add that it very would could be a win for the Black Bears. Hope they can pull it off.

Syracuse made a HUGE mistake in dumping Pasqualoni. Maine should have no problems taking them out.

That they did - They have gone 10-37 since firing him, with best season being 4-8.

September 5th eh? Hmmm, maybe it's a good thing JMU waits to put out their schedule. Perhaps we could lock up Maine for that date now and actually have a bye week sometime during the season

Hope noone takes this the wrong way, but I'd rather FSU have played Maine first instead of Miami. I've never been happy with that game being on Labor Day. Even though the Noles have beaten Miami a few times.
