The conference sets the schedule. Then the school looks at the schedule and decides which games are Parents Weekend, which one is Homecoming. The last home game is Senior day so it can never be the last home game. You also have Fall Break to consider which covers two weekends at most schools. My problem isn't that we're playing Coastal. They're a good rival, and thus SHOULD be on the schedule. All I'm saying is that as long as we're going to have KY Wesleyan and/or Brevard on the schedule (really, ONE of those two would have been sufficient as there are PLENTY of possible OOC games on the East Coast), the schedule should have been tweaked so that Coastal was the last game of the season and KY Wesleyan was a mid-season Homecoming patsy. By NO means am I running scared of CCU. Schools often schedule patsies for homecoming because they know people will come to the game regardless. A lot of these returnees are casual (at best) fans that aren't primarily there for football. As an alum, I would rather come back for an exciting and meaningful game, even if it is a loss, than a snoozer that is over by the 2nd quarter.
