I realize LBs are going to have bigger tackle #s than DL and DBs. Of the 9 LBs on the list, none have #s close to JMU's Stephon Robertson, 1 of 7 returning finalists. :notworthy:

Didn't even list Stephon's INT in game 5...

I'd say Daly has a great shot so far.

You should see Singleton on the list by the end of the year as well. I think he has 3 int's and is second in the nation in tackles for a loss (Daly is #1)

Only if they take McGhee off the Payton list and add Johnson. :coffee:

Not that it matters...that Eastern Illinois (I think that is the team) QB is going to win it.

EIU's QB has to be the frontrunner.

He's on pace for around 46 td's, 10 picks, just under 4,000 yards passing, and 600 yards rushing . And that's after playing 3 of his toughest opponents. But with Garropolo, Zenner, and company also putting up great numbers, it's going to be hard for a sophomore to win it.

Why are offensive players being mentioned as candidates for an award created for defenders????

Because Blackfalkin derailed it.

And the link took me to the Payton watch list article. I was going to BDK some shit about this but I decided not to...for once. Turning a new leaf of nice-i-tude.

Add Singlton and remove Tripp, he hasn't done anything this year.

I thought Bryan Presume of SIU might have been on this list. His numbers so far compare well with the ones who are.

71 tackles, 41 solo
8 TFL
3 sacks
1 INT
2 PD, 5 QBh
1 Fumble recovery and 1 Forced fumble
1 blocked kick

The only link that you could use to see the 20 player photos & stats was the one I used. The Payton pops up, then you have to click on the Payton, Buchanan, and Rice portions to see the rundown on the players.

I should have also included this link:
http://www.sportsnetwork.com/merge/tsnf ... 1_2013.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
But with that one you can't go back and see the 20 player mug shots & profiles.

Coyle is playing better than both of them. :coffee:

I always said that Coyle was your best LB by far, right now they are tied in total tackles, but Singlton leads in TFL, Passes defended and interceptions. So no, Coyle isn't playing better than Singlton
