I know it was just a D-II, but surely putting up 73 points is worth more than three vote points. THAT is BULLcr@p....

I'm not saying that Liberty should be #1. I'm not even saying they should necessarily be in the poll. But a performance like THAT, regardless of the opponent, should be a whole lot closer to the main poll that THAT.

You want to reward a team for running up the score on a bad D2?

McNeese gets axx whipped and is still 13? EWU gives up a billion yards and points...and remains in the top 5? SDSU gain a whopping TOTAL of
124 yards,
ONE HUNDRED TWENTY-FOUR YARDS...AT HOME, and is still ranked #9?
That is embarrassing.
Clown football poll.

Shouldn't that depend on the D-II, Mr. T? Playing Grand Valley and other D-II powers like has GOT to be rated better than playing Temple/Duke/Wake/NMSU/WMU/lower-echelon MEAC/lower-echelon Patriot/lower-echelon Pioneer/lower-echelon SWAC.
Not that KY Wesleyan is a "D-II power...."

Well at least now i can see how you guys can place Sam Houston State. I was wondering if Eastern Washington would be able to control their offense. When Sam Houston State played Montana in the 2011 playoffs Sam Houston State's offense started off in overwhelming fashion then it looked like Montana kind of figured things out and really slowed it down in the second half. Same thing happened when Eastern Washington played Sam Houston State in the 2012 playoffs. So I wondered if it would carry over to the start of the 2013 game between Eastern Washington and Sam Houston State.
Apparently not.

Choir here. The historical record clearly shows that the teams at the very top of D-II during at least some years (if not all) can give teams at the very top of FCS all they want and sometimes more. All you have to do to verify that is note that there have been two games between teams that went on to win the D-II and I-AA national titles and the D-II champ won one game by 3 while the I-AA champ won the other game by 3.
It's not like the very top of FBS playing the very top of FCS. The FCS national champ is NEVER going to beat the FBS "national champ." Not going to happen. And very unlikely that it would ever be close. There just isn't as much difference...not NEARLY as much...between the top of D-II and the top of FCS as there is between the top of FCS and the top of FBS.

The same reason SFA isn't ahead of MSU.

Not necessarily "better." But given Wake's record, certain D-II's may provide more of a challenge, which should be recognized. Wake is FBSINO.
