#1 NDSU vs #6 SDSU

Should be an old fashion slobberknocker game in Brookings.
Keys for NDSU:
- Passing game needs to be sharp. Move the chains and keep the safties out of the box.
- No turnovers on the road.
- Field position game which NDSU utilizes very well.
Keys for SDSU:
- Find ways to get ZZ into space. NDSU has shut him down the last 2 games they have played.
- Sumner needs to be consistent and not turn it over.
- Get the crowd into the game. NDSU will have a large following at this game.
Bison have a better offense compared to last year with the passing game being more consistent so far this season. Run the ball, play-action pass and play fundamentally sound defense is the recipe for the Bison the last 3 yrs.
Bison win 31-17

Good breakdown. I think it will be closer than 31-17...more like 34-26.
Should be a "slobberknocker" as you so eloquently put it

If NDSU is going to lose a game this year, this is one of the two opportunities.
Come on Jackrabbits!

I'm rooting for the Bunnies but NDSU wins by 2 TDs.

Slobber-knocker for sure, but Bison win a close one.

Agreed that SDSU's best hope is to get ZZ in space and hope that he can generate enough offense to open some things up. If that happens, then it could be a close game. If not, then I don't think this one will really be that close. If NDSU shuts down ZZ (which they have in the past), then they shut down SDSU. NDSU will of course move the ball just fine in their deliberate, methodical way.
I am going with NDSU 31, SDSU 17

I think SDSU is overrated and severely one-dimensional.
The only way they even have a chance is if the Bison just don't show up.
38-7 Bison.

Or you turn the ball over six times and have 12 penalties ... just sayin'.

A UNI fan rooting against the Bison, who would have thunk.....
Next 2 games are the 'meat and potatoes' of the schedule for the Bison: Jacks and Panthers

A running team probably has a better chance of knocking off NDSU than a passing team does, but the Jackrabbits have looked a little suspect the last few weeks. An upset would be surprising here.

Have the restroom facilites at SDSU been upgraded from the 55-gallon drums of piss?

I think they'll both be in the playoffs so it doesn't matter a great deal. SIU has to play in Brookings next week so I'd rather have the Jacks fresh off an upset of #1.

I don't think it will be to a team they are "expected" to lose. It'll be someone else, like a Youngstown or Indiana State were in recent years. Maybe Missouri State? I don't know but that's not important for now. NDSU wins, 31-10.

2 yrs ago the Bison beat the Jacks 38-14 in Brookings. If the Jacks cannot consistently run the ball the score this year could be the same. Jacks defense does not look as good as last year, so the Bison offense should be able to move the ball. But with this game, throw the records out.
Chance of rain in Brookings tonight and early morning.

Witnessed the Jacks and SELA. Both teams looked shaky. Herd by 20.

I don't see what the big deal is about that. ALL portable restrooms are just plastic drums of waste.

NDSU is scary good, but if SDSU stays in the top 10, that's a joke.
