So Gardner Webb goes in un ranked, beats the #10 team, 3-0 and is now ranked #16? Coastal, goes into the weekend at 15, beats an unranked team but drops to 18? they didn't even have the next 10 receiving votes last week. How does a weak win over Wofford catapult you that much? I mean, they won and that should mean something but seriously?
Meanwhile, Bethune-Cookman gets pounded by FSU and goes from 16 last week to 15? What the fuck? Yeah, they lost to a FBS school, but that shouldn't mean they go up. This is bullshit right there.

I'm not sure how other pollsters do it, but I start from scratch every week. I take each teams ENTIRE body of work and what we've learned about THEM, their opponents, and their relative performance against those opponents to determine my 25.

The "and" is that just because a team is the best in its conference, particularly when the conference sucks balls, does not warrant a top 25 spot. That's what autobids are for. Autobids are the vehicle for insuring that the little sisters of the poor are represented.
Look at the FBS poll. Do you see the best team from the Sunbelt, MAC, C-USA, Independents conferences automatically put in the Top 25? Of course not. They put THE BEST 25 FUCKING TEAMS in the top 25, unlike this bullshit every-conference-gets-a-cookie poll.

(and CS isn't the only one - AGS and TSN are guilty as well)
That phenomenon is unique to FCS pollsters and it's just goofy as hell. You and I know full fucking well that Gardner Webb, Bethune Cookman, Tennessee Martin, NC A&T etc will not sniff the quarterfinals.

Quarters would assume top 8. None are ranked top 8
G-W - Beat Furman, Richmond, and Wofford.
B-C - Probably most suspect, but did give Tennessee St only win, and has a FBS win
UT-M - Decent wins over UCA and UTC
NC A&T - two wins over Southern (Appy State and Elon)
Bigger question - who would you put in their places?

I'm not going to get into a team by team discussion of wins and losses. It's only week 4, so it's not worth it. But you can just take a quick glance down this list, and if you don't see the bias against the CAA and for the Big Sky, you're in denial. But, I am not surprised by this, because we know it's a Montana-based site with a disproportionate number of WC(b) posters, and the poll chips fall accordingly. I haven't looked closely at AGS, but I'll bet it swings the other way, with all the Ivy, Patriot, NEC following over there.
Also, I'm glad to be of service in taking an otherwise boring thread each week where you all congratulate yourselves and get you all riled up a bit.
BOO, MOTHERFUCKERS!!!

Have you considered that the Big Sky is just a better conference than the CAA at the moment? Luckily we'll find out for sure when the playoffs start.

Where? I see CAA @ #'s 4,8,13,18 and 23. BSC @ 3, 6, 12.
If anything, BSC is probably UNDER-represented in the poll (PSU & SUU come to mind)...

Towson is a pretty clear #2 to me. William and Mary and Villanova are too low (I have my personal opinion of UD, but since I'm a UD fan I'll abstain). For fairness and balance, JMU may be too high.

If it makes you feel better I had Coastal higher than G-W. G-W was new to my poll this week. I dropped B-C as well. They're barely in my top 25.

I have Towson pretty high (top 3, I think), WM, Nova just outside the top 25, as well as UD. JMU in top 15.
