It's depressing to see us in the "others receiving votes" category. It's been a long while......

You're a little late to the whole Sunbelt obscurity/irrelevance conversation - try to keep up. :coffee:

Did you know that Corey Haim died?

The Griz jumped 2 spots and didn't play a game.

New Hillbilly Strategery: Cancel remaining 10 games -- jump to #12 in final poll.

:dunce:

It seems like they've been good enough to be ranked before this. Here's what their athletics website said when the preseason poll came out: "This is the first time the Wildcats have been a member of TSN’s preseason poll under head coach Brian Jenkins." Lots of caveats there. (source: http://www.bcuathletics.com/ViewArticle ... =209128260" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;)

The article also says they finished last year #22.

I'm new here and wanted to know if UNCC is allowed on the polls?

I would assume you are.

Two large margin wins over very bad teams (Chowan and Campbell) won't register among the pollsters yet. If you beat NC Central, you might get your first votes at 3-0. Then you have JMU. If you could pull off a stunner there, I think you'd go way up in the ORV category, if not even cracking the Top 25 at 4-0, and you'd grab the hell out of everyone's attention.

Good luck to Charlotte.

Btw, I see you guys scheduled Dover, DE's own Division III Wesley College on Nov 9. You guys should be ashamed of yourselves scheduling a D-III.

I would guess not, but do not actually know.

I suspect UNCC has too many schollies and coaches, and would be considered *FBS Transition*

The other issue(s) the 49ers have: Campbell has a Sagarin rating of 249 out of 252 DI football teams. Chowan (and NC Central) are both CIAA (DII).

And then, there is that *Conference-USA* logo you have on your jerseys ...
