Will this be the case this time? Will the sudden exposure get to Adams' head? I think EWU loses at least one of the games. I am leaning toward Toledo.
Eastern isnt going to suprise anyone anymore.

I don’t like to look at that stuff. When I was young I used to always follow the hype, the ranked quarterbacks, star quarterbacks. But I don’t look at it anymore. I’m blessed and I’m thankful God put me in this position. I don’t care about numbers—I just want to get us to our ultimate goal, the [FCS] national championship.
Just don't lose until you come visit Montana.Screamin_Eagle174 wrote:Wildcat Ryan wrote:A few years ago, Eastern went into Washington and almost beat the Huskies, then turned around and got beat by South Dakota.

I could see us beating Toledo and losing to SHSU, only if Adams cramps up is out for more than a quarter. Otherwise I think there's a decent chance we could be 4-0.

Would you like to elaborate on your reasons why? I personally am not interested in the Toledo game but I would like to see reasons for the Kats game.BlackFalkin wrote:PREDICTIONS?

SHSU's defense got weaker. SHSU's defense isn't as talented as OSU's. SHSU's defense couldn't stop Vernon Adams. Adams will get to play the full game, instead of just half.blackfordpu wrote:Would you like to elaborate on your reasons why? That's probably the best argument. But, on the other hand, there were some EWU receivers who played during that second half that Sam Houston State couldn't handle once Adams came in and could get the ball to them and they aren't there anymore.SHSU's defense couldn't stop Vernon Adams. Adams will get to play the full game, instead of just half.
God. That would be like how our presidential elections have become. Choosing the lesser of two vomit-inducing evils and hoping the 3rd place team actually wins.Gil Dobie wrote:Undefeated EWU FALKIN EAGLES vs defending champion NDSU Bison
Now now. You're just bitter because your candidate never gets past the primaries.CatBlitz22 wrote:God. That would be like how our presidential elections have become. Agreed with most, however they're not quite back to back, as we get a bye inbetween them to rest up. Also, with the SoS consideration with the selection committee this year, I'm not so sure WOU is a non counter. As long as we get into the 7-8 win range, the win over a ranked BCS team will certainly help mitigate a win over a D-II.EWURanger wrote:In no way do I believe that EWU rolls through it's schedule (which is very difficult) based on the outcome of one game. Each game is its own.
Of the three remaining OOC games, the only one I am highly confident of winning is WOU. That opinion is shared by most. I actually think the most likely outcome is we drop one of those games and start off 3-1, which I am ok with. Both Toledo and SHSU will be huge challenges because they are back-to-back road games against two very good teams. Fatigue will be a factor, as will the limits in the travel roster.
We do need to beat one of them, though, because the WOU game is a non-counter and at this point we need 7 more DI wins to make the playoffs. The likelyhood of going through the Big Sky without more than 1 loss isn't very big, meaning we need to get a split with Toledo and SHSU.

I think DII wins now count for the selection committee. EWU will have the 1 or 2 seed this year.Screamin_Eagle174 wrote: I'm not so sure WOU is a non counter. As long as we get into the 7-8 win range, the win over a ranked BCS team will certainly help mitigate a win over a D-II.
