The FCS soars as the SoCon sucks

Unbelievable week for the FCS...NDSU starts it, Towson beats UConn, McNeese destroys South Florida, EWU beats AP #25, and UNI is taking it to Iowa State (did I leave anything out?)
So just WTF is the deal with the SoCon? El Cid loses to Chuck South, Elon and Wofford aren't even close to being competitive in their FCS games, Furman loses to Garnder-Webb, UTC gets owned by UTM, and App. looks dead in Missoula.

SoCon was the cream of the crop a few years ago. Now it's all about the Missouri Valley and Big Sky.

Southland looking strong also. A lot of teams were with in 10 points or less in their matchups against FBS teams.

McNeese also beat Middle Tennessee last year to start the season, but this year is ridiculous. I thought that it was a misprint.

not sure how NDSU starts the week, when their game was played on Fri. while Towson played on Thurs. and Elon and Wofford weren't close to being competitive in their FBS games (funny how the NCAA got rid of the I-A, I-AA monikers to clarify things by introducing names that are constantly being confused)
