Whether they "deserve" an auto is irrelevant. "Deserving" one through on-field performance has never been a requirement in any NCAA event as far as I know.

And I'm not sure how Jacksonville's performance indicts them.

Also Pikeville (NAIA) beat Morehead State 13-10.

Don't let the score fool you- UD put up 611 yds to 224. UD special teams was horrendous. Otherwise, UD would have won by over 30. And remember, UD was picked to finish 8th of 11 in the CAA.

Pioneer is a joke.

More FBS wannabeeism mental illness clearly on display here. I hope that you can obtain help from someone that graduated from a real college with a real degree. You know, someone with a degree from a PFL school. It is truly sad to see folks like you suffer with mental illness. Please get help.

Pioneer was 2 and 9 vs OOC, despite 4 of the opponents being NAIA or Div II. congrats on beating 2 Div II teams.

Pioneer was 1 and 9 BS OOC this weekend. The lone win by 3 over a Div II...http://scores.espn.go.com/ncf/scoreboar ... ekNumber=1" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The only reason they aren't D3 is because of the "Dayton Rule"...I believe nearly all PFL members were D3 prior to that.

If they don't want to commit to playing real ball I say the NCAA lets them go back to D3 where they belong.

so you're saying that D3 schools don't play "real ball"?

You guys caused me to look up stuff on the Dayton Rule and I found a quote in an old newspaper article on it that gave me a good chuckle. Here's the article:

And here's the quote with the best part underlined for emphasis:
Use it, Dayton did, advancing to the Division III playoffs almost every year during the '80s.

"It wasn't fair for schools like Ohio Wesleyan, Wittenberg, Mount Union, Baldwin Wallace, and others in Ohio being bumped from the playoffs because of Dayton and other Division I schools (there are 18 more) playing down in Division III football."

I don't mind them being in the playoffs, but it's interesting that in the article I linked above it says they were planning to establish a Division I-AAA championship. I guess they must not have ended up with enough schools to have I-AAA playoffs or something.

UNCC thumped Campbell 52-7.

The local news bunch that handled the broadcast said in their after-game wrap-up that the Hwy 49ers beat an "established FCS football program" likely not realizing they are non-scholly ...

That's news to me, JSO. Traditionally, the unofficial "I-AAA designation has been reserved for D-I schools without football....
