Hmm, should be interesting to see if he's "suspended" for the first game like last year... :coffee: :coffee:

What a dumbass. :ohno: The right thing to do is suspend him immediately for whatever period they choose, but I'd love to see them suspend him for NCA&T and/or Charleston Southern.

This is a true game changer. He was suspended for 2 games last season and still set the freshman FCS record for yardage. Dammit.

You act as though Johnson didn't miss an entire season because of a crime he didn't commit. :coffee:

I didn't say Johnson. I meant that you hear that a lot from griz fans ( not all) when one of there players gets in trouble.

So all arrests should result in suspension? For how long?

What if it was a false arrest? What if no charges are filed, or charges are dropped? What if there is evidence of police misconduct? What if it is thought that charges will be dropped, or reduced to some insignificant?

If it's thought that the charges are bogus and will go away, what's wrong with letting the justice system run its course?

What if players and 50 witnesses, as well as some audio/video, are saying that the police singled out two black players, at the exclusion of white players, made racial statements and slurs, and forced the confrontation? Do you support your players, and team, or do you cater to those not in the know and opposing team's fans?

What's wrong with other discipline and punishment? Does it always have to be a suspension?

I'm with ya to an extent Grizfan5. For your JJ to miss an entire season only to be acquitted after the season was over was crazy, and I'd argue he probably should have played until he was found not guilty. I doubt there's much question about whether Price was AT LEAST guilty of underage drinking - the rest, who knows. I think what's really in question here is that the program has really been trying to clamp down on off the field "distractions" as it's been getting relatively sloppy over the past couple of seasons. The athletes are held to something akin to an honor code, and you break it, you get punished. I don't like that this happened, but if it's all true then I think Satterfield has to stick to his guns and punish him appropriately.

App will be fine. Players will step up.

Good on the new coach to set a good example right out of the gate for not putting up with any shit.

Yeah, but not having to double-team a player on every down will make a huge difference for our secondary. Not a knock on App as a team, but Price is a huge playmaker for them.

well... He could have saved him by keeping him out of this game. I remember a couple of hits from Keith Thompson in 2009....SDSU and ASU that looked massive.

We know he cares, at least a little, because he uses the 'shift' key. THAT key is farther off than the period and comma.

App. has a receiver corps that would make a lot of BCS teams jealous but this is more of a game changer than many App fans will admit. The guy basically won the game for App. against us last year and was more than half of their offense that day.

I was thinking App would win this one by a touchdown but now I think I'll take the Griz.

Ppppphhht. A pair of has-been programs who ain't done **** since the last decade anyway.
Hmmm, sounds pretty delusional. Let's see what ASU and Montana have done in the last decade and compare it to EWU.

Overall record: Montana 102-30; ASU 100-32; EWU 78-45
Playoff record: ASU 16-5; Montana 13-8; EWU 8-5
Semi Appearances: Montana 5; ASU 4; EWU 2
NC Appearances: ASU 3; Montana 3; EWU 1
NCs: ASU; 3; EWU 1; Montana 0
ASU vs. EWU: ASU 1; EWU 0
ASU vs. Montana: ASU 1; Montana 1
Montana vs. EWU: Montana 7, EWU 3

While you clearly cherry-picked the time period to exclude Montana's NCs, you'll have to get much more creative to make EWU look good against ASU and Montana.

Mr. Price is off the two-deep this week ...

(From the High Country Press)

Image

Interestingly enough, over the summer Simms McElfresh has has worked very hard and grown to 6'-5" / 210 lbs (from 5'-10" / 173 lbs). He also got a really great tan, and grew his hair out ...

Image - Image

McElfresh caught 2 passes against Montana at The Rock last year.

"Someone" told me that Bobby Lamb's kid was a QB at ASU, and was supposed to be really good.

Was I misinformed, and am I listening to the wrong people?
