Got my tickets. Section Q row 24 right on the 40. Can't wait for the start of the Jamie Chadwell era. Bucs have looked good in practice this fall. Do not expect the same team you saw last year. Everything has changed.

This should be a decent game. Did you read the write up on the Bucs, last Sunday, in the P&C?

Sure did. They are having a meet and greet day this coming Saturday to introduce the team to the student body. Chadwell is working really hard to build excitement and support from the student body. Pretty tough trying to convince a bunch of fundamental Christian kids it's OK to cut loose and have some fun on a Saturday afternoon but I think he can turn it around.

BUCDAD, is your son a senior this year? Or did he already graduate?

Don't make the mistake of thinking the same team that showed up last year will show up again this year. Everything has changed.

Yes it has! Underestimate the Bucs, and you will pay. I love the direction we are headed. I can't wait to get it started!

Got my season tickets. I'll be at every home game, at the Citadel, and at App State.

And The Citadel has remained static in the offseason- no improvement at all.

You guys should schedule North Greenville or Savannah State for your opener so you don't have to go back into hibernation so early in the season.

Hmm. That hasn't really been a problem in Lynchburg. Maybe you're not doing it right. ;)

We know there is room for improvement. It has been well documented by the Liberty, Coastal, and Citadel crowds all that is wrong with CSU.

That problem doesn't exist in Lynchburg because there is nothing else to do there on Saturdays. There is much more to do in Charleston than there is to do in Lynchburg. It is still quite warm during most of football season in Charleston and many students choose to go to the beach on Saturdays. One of the reasons students go to CSU is because it is in Charleston and all that Charleston has to offer (beach, downtown, etc.).

Citadel will always be able to get students (cadets) to show up because it is a requirement for participation in the Core of Cadets. Cadets show up because they have to.

I have heard many Coastal fans complain in recent years that they wish they had more student body participation in their home games also. Probably because they have the beach and other stuff going on in Myrtle Beach.

So, again I will state it isn't that Liberty is doing SO much right, it is because there is nothing else to do.

It's kinda cute that the Baptist College considers The Citadel a rival.

Core of Cadets is kinda cute too.

I'm not going to play Board of Tourism games with you other than to say that I grew up near Charleston so I am very familiar with the area. I am also very familiar with the butt end of North Charleston which is where CSU is actually located. Further, I am very familiar with the fact that most people in that end of North Charleston don't actually do ANYTHING on Saturdays other than sit on the front steps of their trailers and drink. Maybe y'all should hand out some swag at the gate such as Piggly-Wiggly greenback stamps and Ladson Liquors coupons. That might help.

As a kid, I remember going to many Citadel games during the Charlie Taaffe days and those games were always well attended. It's kind of sad to learn that only the core of the cadets now show up as opposed to the entire Corps of Cadets. The end of an era, I guess.
