1) Northwestern State - Southland
2) Western Carolina - SoCon
3) Appalachian State - SoCon
4) Chattanooga - SoCon
5) Montana State - Big Sky

Now, I know these rankings don't mean anything now, but a tip of the hat to the SoCon, especially Coach Wagner and his staff in Cullowhee.

soooooo where is, or is there, a complete list or is there just a top five? Personally I don't give a lot of weight to these rankings. They get about as much weight as the preseason #1 poll, and the first 2 or 3 weeks of the poll for that matter.

... these numbers are bogus though, you never know how these guys are going to pan out. I was watching a selection show on Tuesday evening and they had a guy from EPNU talking about the top 150 players available to colleges. He was asked what weight should be placed on the rankings and he replied they are bogus numbers.

I work for rivals, and outside of the top 150-200 kids in each class they, like ESPN, don't really give a shit about anyone else.

They care about the big name schools and their recruits. They don't know jack shit about who the FCS signs.

I would have to agree there. I couldn't find this info so glad someone took the time.

Hey, we were looking at a 3 star guy, who was also offered by Baylor, that ended up at a D2. Seems the guy had a 1.5 gpa.

I'm hyped by our class.

I don't know who was cited, but SacBuzz is reporting that Sac State has the second-best recruiting class in FCS, ahead of Appy and only two spots behind Navy. No word on who sponsored that ranking or who #1 was.
