Charleston Southern HC Chadwell Names Willy Korn Buccaneers' Wide Receivers Coach

Former Clemson QB Willy Korn Joins Charleston Southern Staff as an Assistant - Charleston, Post and Courier
Korn comes to CSU with a strong familiarity with both Chadwell and the Palmetto State. He played for Chadwell at North Greenville University during his junior and senior seasons, earning All-American honors in leading NGU to an 11-3 season and an appearance in the D-II Quarterfinals. He finished his career with an 18-4 record as a starter at NGU.
"It is with great excitement that I announce Willy Korn as our wide receivers coach," Chadwell said on Tuesday. "He will bring a great passion and energy to our team and our wide receiving corps. He is well-respected throughout this state and he will make an immediate impact for us in recruiting."
Korn spent last season training quarterbacks and wide receivers in the Spartanburg area. He already knows one of his incoming wide receivers for the fall very well. His younger brother, Colton, signed with CSU in February.
At North Greeneville, Korn passed for 4,058 yards and 45 touchdowns. He also ran 212 times for 944 yards and 11 touchdowns.
“Thrilled and honored to be named WR coach at Charleston Southern University,” Korn wrote.

Willy is a quality young man. Hopefully he can translate his playing ability to the coaching arena.
