SacBuzz is reporting that Hornet OL Coach Conor Riley has accepted an offer to join the staff at North Dakota State. This makes the second off-season in the last three that Sac State must fill the OL coaching slot.
This sucks for us, but it makes a lot of sense for Riley, as it gets him closer to his home of Omaha. He got his start at UN-Omaha before they abolished their program. Also can't begrudge a guy a step up in the world when we're in FCS-land.
Congrats to NDSU on picking up a guy who helped us greatly this year.

This would be another case of the rich getting richer at the FCS level.

Riley is from Omaha and coached at UNO when they shut down the program. I think this has more to do with him wanting to move closer to home/family. He did a great job while at Sac, he will be missed.
