Both were 4-6 against Division I opponents. Each had some good and some bad games. At #37, does it really matter anyway. :twocents:

Towson was probably better, but many just looked at the playoff field first.

Probably. :|
Two epic asskickings proved it. But yes, I know you are right.

I'm not going to argue with you, because I agree.

I'm not arguing, I'm just bitter.

Well I can see McNeese State has some work to do in getting back into the conversation. 7-4 and three of their losses were by 1, 1, and 7 points. One 1 point loss was bad as it was to Southeastern Louisiana but the other was to Central Arkansas and the 7 point loss was to a FBS team (Texas San Antonio) that finished 8-4. Did get blown out by Sam Houston a week after a crushing loss to Central Arkansas. But the loss to Central Arkansas was one in which the Bears had to score a TD in the last two minutes, recover an onside kick, then kick a 47 yard field goal to win by one point with 20 something seconds left. And they had a win at Middle Tennessee; which was probably equivalent to a top 5 FCS team in caliber and certainly equivalent to a top 10 FCS team. Go by power ratings and they're borderline top 25. Like they finished 17 in Sagarin ratings and 21 in Massey ratings. But they don't show up in the AGS poll results even down into the 40s.

They definitely aren't "showing up" when people think about FCS teams.

UTSA was up on schollies but they aren't FBS until 2013. They would still have counted as an FCS loss.

Actually, if you look at the NCAA statistics, they were officially classified in the FBS section under "Reclassifying/Provisional." Kind of in a netherworld. But classified in the FBS section, not the FCS section.
