When the Bearkats go to EWU and win next week they will have won 5 games in a row over the best the big sky could put in front of them. What a pill to swallow for big sky fans on this board who game after game have predicted the demise of Sam Houston.

After watching SHSU 'man-handle' Montana State, they will be a tough game for EWU.

SHSU looks really good right now.

I've said this right at the end of the regular season and I'll say it again...Montana State was not as good as their record showed. The only had to play one of their top 3 conference opponents (lucked out not playing Northern Arizona and Cal Poly). ODU should have been the #3 seed and Montana State #4. No offense bobcats.

The result...Sam Houston gets a considerably easier road game than GSU does.

That's pretty bold of you to say but here's the thing: the eagles are on fire right now and the game is in Cheney and the eagles are tough to be at home on that red turf and truth be told Montana State did a hell of a job competing with sam houston for a while and WE ALL KNOW EASTERN WASHINGTON IS BETTER THAN MONTANA STATE AND CAL POLY. So what makes you think that shs is just gonna waltz into Cheney and beat a team that won in 2010 what you couldn't in 2011? Sit down and gameplan for 2 lethal qb's 4 lethal wr's and 1 lethal 16 ypc rb.

Which is all well and good, but the end goal isn't to be Big Sky Conf champs.

We were OVC, MVFC, and CAA champs in 2010. I guess the Southland didn't even field a team that year.

Unless you have won the NC recently you don't have room to talk shit with any team until after the game.

As for EWU - it was 2 years ago and I would imagine some of those players have graduated.

Yeah, I know it's smack time but keep it somewhere in the realm of reality.

Well, if you SHSU fans (a team that's won exactly NOTHING, BTW) want to crow and beat your chests about some mythical conference championship, then apparently the obvious DOES need to be pointed out. Ya'll are a little dense down there.

And you'd better hope there's another drop down RB like Flanders waiting in the wings....otherwise, it'll be back to mediocrity for your team.

Actually Lehigh was the MVFC champ, beating UNI in the first round. NDSU was the third place finisher that year. Winning the FCS championship is a bigger deal though.
