Congrats to the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers, the Liberty Flames and the Stony Brook Seawolves for a great season!

All three schools share the Big South Conference Championship (wierd, right?).

CCU - 7-4 (5-1)
Liberty - 6-5 (5-1)
Stony Brook - 9-2 (5-1)

By virtue of the tie breaker (points allowed) Coastal Carolina goes on to get the Automatic Bid for the Big Souths 3rd Playoff Appearance. The Big South has been to the playoffs 3 times, each time represented by Coastal Carolina.

I thought the tie breaker was conference road wins this year. Plus Stony Brook went last year from the Big South.

Did they? I don't recall that. Anyway, good for them!

My bad, CCU went in 2006, 2010 and now 2012. Still, they've been the most of all the Big South teams. Now with Stony Brook out of football (next year right?) our odds are better. C-I-N-O

I just saw it was amended in September 2011. I guess i'm not up to speed on all BS rules as some people. I ought to quit my day job...

Probably stems from when CCU ran up the score 2 years ago and got the auto bid.

All that matters is CCU is in. Now we just need to beat BC!

StonyBrook is in also. We host Villanova next Saturday at 3pm . So we made the Big South a two bid league for our swan song. Miss you guys already

I'd like to see SB and CCU do well. Since SB is leaving, hopefully next year we could move the Liberty/Coastal game to the last of the year because most likely it will be the BS Championship game.

That is a weird tie breaker.

Uh, they beat Albany in the opening round, then had national runner-up Sam Houston St. by the throat for 57 minutes........I'd say they "participated".......

Coastal comes to Lynchburg in 2013 so I wouldnt be so quick to call it a win. CCU's last three trips to the Burg they have been outscored 37-24, 58-13 and 63-27 and have only won once in Lynchburg in their history. to go to the show next year, CCU will have to do something that hasnt been done since 2006 for any Big South team, even Stony Brook: Win in Lynchburg

For shizzle. Winning in Lynchburg isn't easy. With Stony Brook out of the conference, CCU and LU can go back to dominating the conference until one u leaves.
