A Liberty win here could throw a monkey wrench into everything. That would cause a 3-way tie at the top of the Big South with each team 1-1 head-to-head against the other two. How does the Big South propose to solve that? A coin flip is unsatisfying, yet the Big South is likely to be a one-bid conference regardless. They MIGHT get two if CCU or Liberty gets the auto-bid. (Not that Liberty would deserve one at 6-5.) Stony Brook would get the at-large, IF the committee deigns to grant one to the Big South, though I can't see for the life of me who would lose out if THAT happens. Given Stony Brook's great season, it would SUCK for them to lose a playoff berth on a coin flip....

So CCU would get it AGAIN?!?
Why does it seem like SBU and Liberty ALWAYS take it in the shorts when CCU gets involved?!?

You truly are an idiot for suggesting a coin flip.

Because we have a strong Dline. Bennet weakly recruited out offense.

You did maybe. Most people had PSU winning, but not rolling.

Game preview & prediction -
http://www.libertyflamesnation.com/2012 ... ction.html
The #6 Stony Brook Seawolves (9-1, 5-0 Big South) look to finish their 2nd consecutive season at 6-0 in the Big South, and once again capture the conference's auto-bid into the FCS playoffs. The only team standing in their way are the Liberty Flames (4-5, 3-1). Kickoff in Lynchburg on Saturday is scheduled for 3:30.

Meh. You've seen how often people here have tried to spin a FG point spread as "rolling."

I'll eat my crow. I don't know what happened in this game, other than SB likely played like garbage and Liberty gave them everything they had. Glad to be wrong though, knocks off another seed contender.

Frankly we outplayed the Seawolves and our defense did an outstanding job shutting down Maysonet. With that accomplished, Essington tried to force things and we feasted on the results.
Ibanez - Super Safety ring a bell? You guys need us to win to get you into the playoffs. But that doesn't mean that we won't be all about cheering on Chucky South on Saturday.
