after 9 weeks of football, the griz are just 2-4, a very down yr. weber is 1-4, also a very down yr since the mac era ending and its quite an embarrassment.

in 2008 these 2 teams were co-big sky champs, weber hasn't been to the playoffs since '09 but griz normally make it every year.

griz to win in ogden? griz last win at weber state was in 2006. the next matchup in ogden after this saturday IS NOT UNTIL 2016. YIKES, nice scheduling. if weber can win, griz could possibly have a 10 yr drought in ogden in football, now that woudl be crazy...

the only reason griz have more wins than weber at this piont is because griz have played idaho state and weber hasn't yet. joking aside...who could have predicted weber and griz combining for 3 conf wins after week 9...

weber started out 0-7 and griz game likely will be the difference in weber winnning out or not. weber finally got a win, beat Southern Utah. now griz, then northern colorado and idaho state to end the season.

a side question is will the current head coaches at weber and montana right now be back next season? both programs have some serious changes in the offseason. weber alone has had 3 different head coaches since last december so us not being very good is not a huge surprise.

griz had much more serious issues but the point of this thread is about coaching changes so this we all know isnt a typical griz team.

Griz are now down 2 starting offensive linemen and a starting linebacker.

You've got as good a chance as any other team in the conference this weekend to come away with a win.

i still have low confidence in my team, but we have been in most of our fcs games at least. i think we can get it done at home on sat but i wont be predicting a win or the final score.

I was referring to # of players currently in Jail or suspended, In that sir, the Griz lead the Big Sky and possibly all of 1-AA.

Right after the ISU game, I thought we'd beat weber comfortably.

Now I have no idea. Hope we can still run the ball without two O-linemen.

Can't fucking wait for this season to just be over...

I'm pulling for Weber. Both teams have been disappointing this year, I feel for the players on both sides.
While Weber is in this position largely through no fault of their own, having to find a new coach at the last minute etc., Montana is the victim of their own past choices. The Griz need to be more selective of the backgrounds of recruits they choose to bring into their program, and stop making excuses for their behavior when they go off the rail.

As far as the game goes, given the recent suspensions I think I have to lean towards Weber.

Well, that game will be a bit better than UM/WSU. Not like last week where we all had to watch the Have Nots and the Super Have Nots.
