What are everybodys predictions on how the seeds will play out? Will the CAA get 1 or 2? Will the Big Sky get 2? Will the Southern get 2? Could SHSU get a seed with only one more likely loss vs A&M? How will the committee see SHSU with two BCS losses?

I think EWU and NDSU both win out guaranteeing the 1 and 2. I think Cal Poly loses to EWU and @NAU. NAU will win out heading into the CP game. If they finish with 1 loss they have a great case for a seed. I think New Hampshire has a shot to win out and get a seed. I see Nova finishing 2-1 losing at Delaware putting them at 8-3 with an FBS loss. ODU finishes with 2 losses losing at JMU. Madison finishes at 8-3 losing at Nova with an FBS loss.

I think GSU wins out other than Georgia, putting them at 9-2. Wofford wins out other than South Carolina. Stony Brook could win out with only loss being to Syracuse. Could they get a seed? Will be fun to follow.

Seeding priority according to the possible final records of the top teams...going out on a limb and saying GSU won't beat UGA and Wofford won't beat USC...

1. 10-1 NDSU
2. 11-0 Cal Poly
3. 10-1 EWU
4. 10-1 Northern Arizona
5. 10-1 ODU
6. 10-1 Cal Poly
7. 9-2 NDSU
8. 9-2 Georgia Southern
9. 9-2 South Dakota State
10. 9-2 EWU
11. 9-2 Wofford
12. 9-2 Northern Arizona
13. 9-2 New Hampshire
14. 9-2 Villanova

You left out Montana State. Not that it's likely to happen, but the BSC could have 3 teams finish 10-1.

I don't think it's possible for Poly to go 11-0 and Eastern to go 10-1.

There's going to be a lot more losses than that among those 14 teams, as there is 4 weeks of football to go. That's about 50 games among those 14 teams (some still have byes) and there will be multiple upsets, including some shockers. Happens every year

If SBU, and/or Albany and/or Lehigh finish 10-1, they would certainly be top 12 bye teams.

Bottom line is trying to predict seeds now is about as worthless endeavor as tits on a bull.

+1.

I think the entire CAA should get an auto-bid. It really is that strong.

That's not 14 teams, that's the top teams and the records they could have and still earn a seed.. notice there's a 10-1 NDSU and a 9-2 NDSU, same with EWU. 11-0 Cal Poly, and a 10-1 Cal Poly. Obviously both CP and EWU cannot win out.

I'd still like to seed EVERYBODY, but given 5 seeds, I'm seeing something like THIS:

1. NDSU
2. EWU
3. SHSU
4. CP
5. Wofford

1st out: ODU
2nd out: NAU
3rd out: GA So

Is there anyone on that list that can't afford a home game?
How much is a home game for a seeded team?

I only have the 2010 playoff handbook handy, so the numbers might have changed in the past 2 years, but here is what it was then:
Prospective host institutions must submit the following minimum financial guarantees, which shall be 75 percent of the estimated net receipts as submitted on the proposed budget:
First round—$30,000
Second round—$30,000
Quarterfinal—$40,000
Semifinal—$50,000

Don't look now but the SLC Standings are due a shake-up this week
SELA is actually in 1st place in the SLC @ 3-0 - but they haven't played the better teams yet (UCA, SHSU, SFA)
UCA is 4-1 - having lost to SFA but beat SHSU (game this week is SELA)
SHSU is 3-1 - they still have SELA (next week).

SELA will be the spoiler. If UCA and SHSU both win their SELA games and finish out with wins in their last 2 weeks, (this and next) UCA gets the AQ.
(well, UCA has 2 conference games left and while SAM has 3 conference games, including this week for both)
Does SAM then get a seed?
What if SELA pulls the unthinkable and beats them both?

Solid list, would NDSU stay above SDSU if they both had 9-2 records? That would mean the Jacks beat the Bison at the Fargodome.

There's still plenty of football left to be played, but I'm thinking EWU and CP may have just played their way OUT of a seed, and MSU may have gotten back into the race. One more impressive win (and, yes, it'll have to be IMPRESSIVE), and NAU may be in the talk as well. But I don't see the Sky getting more than two. There are WAY too many great teams out there who are deserving....

Assuming they both win out you think the cats with a DII on the schedule and losing h2h would get a seed over us?

You have 2 losses. If we both win out we'll only have 1. So I wouldn't be surprised to get a seed over you.
