When I saw Liberty at #2, I thought it was biased until I saw everyone else's records. After that un-Liberty-like opening schedule, it seems weird that Liberty is still at least mathematically in line for the Big South auto-bid.
IMO, Stony Brook gets it, and the Big South is a one-bid conference. Liberty and Coastal are the only other schools with even a reasonable chance. SB MIGHT pull an at-large if for whatever reason they lose out on the auto-bid, but I don't think they'll blow it.

You might also be interested in reading the Big South tiebreaker blog post regarding the new tiebreaker procedures for a 3 way tie.
This has a lot of importance for this week's game (Liberty @ Coastal).

4. Charleston Southern 4-4, 2-1
Charleston Southern has now won 3 games in a row after they took care of business at home 42-7 against NAIA Edward Waters. The Buccaneers have a shot to make a statement and turn heads as they head to Lynchburg with plenty of confidence. Charleston Southern will walk onto the Williams Stadium turf Saturday afternoon expecting to win.
Seriously? They are beating up on smaller, weaker teams. Liberty will crush them!

That in and of itself proves the point that they are confident. Even earlier this year they struggled to beat anyone let alone a sub-D1 team. Now, they've won 3 in a row and are feeling confident. I'm sure they look at Liberty as being overrated even at 3-5, and will want to make a statement.
I'm not saying they will, but that's their mindset. We'll have a game preview & prediction for the CSU game later this week

So Liberty is where Turner Gill ended up. He won the MAC at Buffalo but Kansas is a career killer. I think he can coach
