StonyBrook had 5100 make it out tonight. Weather maybe a factor- threat of heavy rain and cold temps. Rain never showed up but it was windy cold.

no execuses for fans not showing up in numbers, it was only 56 degrees on a partly cloudy evening. the student section should have at least been half filled. but 5100 is fine for us. attendance average is as of now 843 higher than last year. its been going up consistently for the past four years which is what really care about. If we have attendance of about 4500-6500 in the next two games it will be a great accomplishment for the program and lets hope we can host a playoff game in the case we get there.

Year Total Average Games
2009 18,578 4,644 4
2010 24,541 4,908 5
2011 39,009 5,573 7
2012 25,666 6,416 (through 4 games)
We are still toddlers in front of most CAA teams but we are growing at a great pace.

Its not an easy task to grow a College football program in NY (see Hofstra, Fordham, Wagner, etc) but we have all the advantages of a big school with big alumni representation in the downstate area. We just gotta keep winning and continue tapping that market

GO SEAWOLVES!

Is Stony Brook in the Hamptons? How far from NYC? I assume Queens is the closest burrough? Seems like it might be a fun place to go to school, even if there isn't much of a football culture in that part of the country.

We are about a 40 mile drive from Queens, and about 55 miles from the Financial distritct in Manhattan. But we are located in the Mid suffolk County by the north shore. The Hamptons are about 35 minutes east and in the south shore of the island.

We have a satellite campus for the School of Marine Sciences down at Southampton
