    Worst Performance: Sacramento St. 13, North Dakota 35 - The Hornets gain 492 yards, but only manage 13 points.

    Most Surprising Result: Northern Arizona 41, (#14) Montana 31 - With his first win over Bobby Hauck in 8 tries and then his first win over his former employer in 15 tries, it looks like Jerome Souers is ready to end a third dubious streak: an 8-year playoff drought

    Worst Performance: Tennessee Tech 38, Southeast Missouri St. 41 (2OT) - Odd stats galore in this one: TTU outgained SEMO 560-357 and won turnovers but lost the game; all 7 Redhawk completions went to one guy—Scott Lanthrop; Tennessee transfer Da'Rick Rogers caught 18 balls for 303 yards in a losing cause (he had 12 for 258 at the half :o ); Southeast Missouri had two pick-sixes in the second quarter; the Golden Eagles had 10 penalties to SEMO's 1.

    Most Surprising Result: (#24) Jacksonville St. 21, (#21) Eastern Kentucky 51 - The Gamecocks have now lost 3 straight to EKU and have allowed an average of 50.7 ppg in those losses.

    Most Surprising Result: Colgate 31, (#20) Stony Brook 32 - Making few mistakes kept the Raiders in it, but they didn't quite have enough horsepower in the end.

Just like MSU, NAU broke their Griz streak in Missoula. And, in both cases, it was their first-ever win in WaGriz.

    Most Surprising Result: (#10) The Citadel 14, (FBS) NC State 52 - Perhaps I was underrating NC State, but I expected this game to be a bit closer.
