Interesting week five game with NDSU coming into the game 3-0 and UNI 1-3 with their backs to the wall. The UNI Dome should be sold out, this game usually brings out the best and sometimes the worst(chippy play) in both teams. Should be a fun one in Cedar Falls on Saturday.

Always tough to get a win in the Hawkeye state.

The Bison defense is playing very well right now. I don't see UNI scoring a lot of points but you never know.

Some would, but there is a lot of season left after this game.

UNI will be a tough game for both teams.

NDSU had a hell of a time at UNI two years ago. I think this one will be tight.

First test in the valley for NDSU against a must win team...... going to be a battle. Hope the Bison can pull it out!

How is NDSU's pass defense? That's where the game will be won and lost. UNI will establish some sort of run game, but won't dominate. Kollmorgen is on pace to break every passing record at UNI, which is pretty good given the schedule we have had so far. Especially with 3 games on the road.

Hard to judge much but the CSU game, and even then...

So much goes into individual match ups. I would think it is safe to assume this is the best QB you have faced yet. How he reads your defense will be a big factor. Every defense is giving something...

I have only noticed 1 missed assignment by the D and it resulted in a TD. Yes this will be the best QB they have faced this year, also the best d backs Kollmorgen has faced. Should be a whale of a game!

UNI has played 2 Big Ten teams. Teams that I might add are better than the Gophers ever were when NDSU has beaten them. Take off the green and gold glasses.
I see a little bit of a letdown coming for the Bison. Mostly because it's on the road and UNI will be desperate. If I were a betting man (which of course I am not), I'd put my money on the desperate home team. UNI 20, NDSU 19

This NDSU homerism is getting ridiculous. Clearly none of you have heard of Micah Hyde or you wouldn't be saying asinine things like "NDSU's DBs are better than Iowa's and Wisconsin's." I know this is a FCS site and we all love the little guy in one way or another, but there's a reason that not many FCS guys in the MVFC get Big Ten offers- they're not the class of athlete that the B1G guys are. No NDSU DB is in the top 250 of the 2013 NFL draft rankings...but Iowa at least has one in there. Yes, Iowa and Wisconsin are not having traditional Iowa and Wisconsin years, but they'd still beat NDSU in their stadiums. You might not like it, but it's true.

Regardless, none of that is here nor there...still sticking to my UNI in a close one prediction. They NEED this game. NDSU doesn't. I'll take the home team with their backs against the wall, especially because it's a team like UNI that you know has a lot of pride and will put their best foot forward against NDSU.
