Just thought I'd point these out for you folks doing your polls

Albany

1. beat the #22 team on the road by two scores (should have been three but Maine scored a late TD) and Albany did not look great last night. Passing game was off all night, but our defense was solid and never gave up the lead, which we had the whole game.

2. Played within the same margin against the #4 team that the #6 team did

3. Easily beat Colgate, which gave the #16 team a run for their money.

Seems that all adds up to being ranked at least as high as Stony Brook and arguably higher.

:D

Classic response to an Albany win. Ranked team on the road, but hey that ranked team must be bad.

I've seen Albany beat ranked teams on the road in person. That team (that they beat) ended the season 5-6 by the way.

It was broken down on AGS (I believe). The ranked teams Albany have beaten, while ranked at the time, all finished the season outside the top 25 and I think almost all of the under .500

You guys are so blind it makes me laugh.

Keep ignoring Albany. Fine by me.

Clenz - how do you justify UNI losing to YSU by the same margin as Albany? Should UNI be dropped out of the Top 25?

So why was Maine ranked at this point? I forgot, Albay will only be "very good" when they wear the CAA patch on the uniforms.

UA fans should have a great deal of fun with you UD fans once you are both in the CAA.

Relax, Poindexter. Check my picks. I picked Albany to win. Sheesh.

I have Albany ranked around 16th or so, as I did last week too. Didn't have Maine ranked last week, as I didn't think they were a top 25 team this year. I was proved right.

The Scooby Doos were in my preseason AGS ballot and are in the low teens now.

Albany: state capital of New York. Close to Schenectady and Troy, but fewer violent crimes. Those are the facts, Jack! :D

I've had Albany ranked the last three weeks (#21 this week), but them beating Maine didn't surprise me in the least. The Black Bears were only ranked because of what they did last year & never deserved to be ranked this year.

I'd really like to know who you have rated from slots 14-21 that you feel are better than the Danes......

Wow...I ummm...re-ask and will wait, as per people do, until the polls are released to have you post your full poll. I will as well.

Really curious who you have above many of those teams...particularly EKU, ISU, SBU, Del and Albany.

And SDSU...really?!?!? SELA is their big win....or McNeese's bad loss. I definitely considered the Jacks...and still am...in the 22-30 range.

SDSU did just beat Indiana State & totally shut down Bell. I wasn't really considering them before this week, but that impressed me. Zach Zenner is averaging 224 rushing ypg and their defense has allowed just 10.7 ppg in FCS play.

But Stony Brook beat your team last year. Muhahahaha! Just kidding. Albany deserves to be ranked. But not higher than SBU. :)

Also. Why so much comparison with us all the time. Everytime I check BigPurpleFans I see a comment about Stony Brook. Lets us breath brah. Lets just hope both teams do good and we see a first round rematch once again.

BTW, 10,278 (126%) Crowd at LaValle last night for homecoming. I believe thats the highest ever in Long Island. Little by Little tapping the Long Island market

It's our easiest point of comparison, plus a little penis envy.

Seriously though, congrats on the 10k+. I'm hoping that will happen for us once the stadium is done.

I can't wait till next year. I don't know if you as excited as I am. But to play Albany yearly once again will probably be the best upgrade for Stony Brook in the next couple of years.
