He was the Payton Award runner up last year so he is obviously a front runner. He will have nearly 2000 yards this year. Get back at me then

Get back at us when he makes it through the season without getting injured. :thumb:

Bell is very good. He ran against Drake yesterday, not a FCS powerhouse. Bison held him to under a 100 last year. Let's see what kind of numbers he puts up against Valley teams.

He is good but can he stay healthy?

Impressive performance to be sure......going to be a head to head match up of two of the leading backs in the FCS this week.....should be interesting...........

I was there. He was awesome. He's a tremendous running back, and one of the best players in the country. I mean no disrespect.

But he was also knocked out. And ISU also lost the game.

And also didn't make the playoffs, most likely due to getting knocked out with a concussion and getting hurt vs. NDSU.

Running up numbers like this against Drake is just embarrassing.

They have a competent QB, who can move the ball and a defense that was better than it's given credit for. Not saying we shouldn't have won and in the end we did comfortablly, but if you just want to hate on my team for the sake of hating then so be it. I live in Davenport, too, by the way and was at the UNI game last year. I thought it was a good contest and it was too bad Ronnie Fouch didn't have a better day.
Well, I do want to rip on Drake, they are awful.

Indiana State would have won that UNI game if Bell had not gotten knocked out unless we made some huge adjustment. It wasn't going well. I was at the last 3 games vs the Sycamores and last year and the last game in Terre Haute were very close.

I'm just curious when Indiana State is going to figure out that him running this much might set records, but is not what is best for the team. I don't imagine him getting better each year if they ride him, I would imagine he will get worn down and injured each year. I wish they were building more of the offense up so they have something to do besides him for when he is injured or graduates.

It's an Indiana State Record, not a MVFC record, as it was not a MVFC game.......just sayin.

The sad thing is, I think him running 30+ times is the only way they can be good....I don't think they are that much different than past years, just with a kid who can actually make plays.

When he's gone (injury/graduation) I don't see them being nearly as good as they are even now.

Maybe do a little research first, just sayin.

The refs face in the picture says it all..."Damn, he fast."

The article is incorrect. It can't be a conference record in a non-conference game. It can be a school record or a record for a school in the MVFC, but it can't be a conference record.

You guys are correct, just got an email from the Assist Commish, the conference counts totals against all opponents.

This is exactly what happens when bell faces a defense with half a backbone. Bragging about stats against drake? Give me a freakin break.
