Facing your little brother

Cody Larsen, a 3-year starter and 2-time 1st team All Great West selection on the SUU defensive line, faces his younger brother Tyler this week, a 2-year starter and 1st team All WAC center last year at Utah State.
So, who will win the duel of the brothers? Their dad said that Cody is faster and Tyler is stronger and added that he is looking forward to his sons competing head-to-head.

Is Cody a NT/DT? If he's a DE, this is probaby a nothing "duel" as they won't truly face each other.
That said, I hope it happens. Any time family members play each other makes for interesting drama.

We face them every season, and usually beat the snot out of them.

The dude was talking about ACTUAL brothers playing for opposing teams, not teams that are archrivals.

It only took 3 posts for a griz fan to make it all about them.
ME ME ME, LOOK AT ME, YOU ARE NOT LOOKING. LOOK LOOK LOOK.
What an ass hat.
ANYWAY...My brother had to play against two cousins in college. Said it was the most fun he ever had.

And it only took a couple more for an uptight, butt-hurt cat fan to throw a hissy fit over it. Lighten up, dude. You seem tense.

Not butt hurt at all. I can't say the same for most of the girls at the UM.

Really? Cuz it kinda seems like the pain in your rectum is causing you to overreact to a joke post.
Maybe it's just us uptight Griz fans, though.

In any event, apologies for derailing the thread. From now on I'll keep my smart ass remarks to myself.

What would be the fun in coming around here then?

The internet isn't about fun, my friend. It's serious business.

Agreed. I read articles in two different papers supplied by both teams. I tried to find out what position Cody actually has. Both articles talked about them hitting helmets. The dad indicated he expected to see them collide on almost every play. I am hoping an SUU guy on here can answer this definitively.
I find it an interesting story.
And I apologize for giving Griz and Bobcat fans opportunity to engage yet again in a pointless cat fight (pun intended). That said, I could have written about Neil Armstrong's death and the two would be at it.
Edit: After writing the above, I found a third newspaper account of the battle of the brothers that says that Cody plays DT. I also read a quote from Cody about when they were kids and Tyler joined Cody and Cody's friends for a game, Cody claimed that he had again and again run over him and was surprised Tyler kept up with football.

Here is an article on the story

Both Cody and Tyler wear 58, as does younger brother Zack a high school senior offensive lineman.

Ahh, let me apologize.
Sorry for ruining your thread about something most people reading would just go "huh...that's cool, I guess", by trying to have a little fun, thus probably giving this thread twice as many views or interest as it would have normally received.
Signed,
Asshole Griz and Bobcat fans once again making threads about your team relevant.

That... or maybe just a Griz fan being snarky?

I clicked on the thread to read about football in the state of Utah but all I got was more of the Cat-Griz bitch 'n moan fest replayed on loop from over at bobcatnation and egriz.

You knew it was about Utah football just from reading the title?
Sorry. I guess we'll stop having fun on here because the Internet is such serious business.

I would hate to be the parents....you have to (or at least should) cheer for both teams. This is where you wish the game ended in a tie. Good luck to both brothers.

Okay, note taken. I'll back off from most of what I said. It's not a big deal and I can admit that I should've thought a moment before typing that post and that I'm just as guilty for highjacking this thread as the Griz and Cat fans were. I won't back off that your comment above was a not-so-subtle, snarky dig, though.
