A transfer from College of San Mateo, Hubbard participated in spring drills at Cal Poly and made three tackles in 2012 Spring Game ... tops the depth chart at left safety.

Community College -- A safety and return specialist at College of San Mateo last fall, helping the Bulldogs to an 8-3 record and the Bulldog Bowl championship in November with a 62-24 victory over Diablo Valley College ... recorded 45 total tackles (32 solo) along with 10 pass breakups ... returned three interceptions 117 yards and one touchdown (81 yards) and also averaged 4.7 yards on 15 punt returns and 21.1 yards on 14 kickoff returns ... earned first-team All-Northern California Football Association NorCal Conference honors and team defensive player of the year ... as a freshman, secured 22 tackles (13 solo) and two pass breakups and returned five punts and one kickoff ... 2010 -- Member of team but did not play in any games as a redshirt freshman ... completed three of 11 passes for 28 yards in 2011 Spring Game.

A promising season came to an early end when he suffered a broken leg in game six against Montana (10/16)... was playing well up to that point and had made his first start of the year in that game... in six games played had 23 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, two forced fumbles and two pass breakups... had tied a career-high with nine tackles against the Grizzlies when he was injured... also had 1.5 tackles for loss, a forced fumble and a pass breakup in that game... had five tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss against Oregon (9/18).

Just have to do one for Stacy Robinson #6 for NDSU for the first DII Championship in 1983, lost his battle with cancer this year at the age of 50. Had a nice career with the NY Giants, 2 Super Bowl rings.
