EWU announced Monday that Dalis Bruce was suspended from the athletic program pending investigation into a sexual assault arrest on Sunday. Bruce faces charges of second degree rape and residential burglary.

So the EWU coaches aren't going to let the judicial system run its course first?

Standard policy to suspend indefinitely when charged with a serious crime. Whether he's off the team permanently and expelled will be determined by the outcome of the judicial system... same goes for JJ over at UM.

I basically agree with your sentiment. This sucks for everyone, and Montana fans above all others should understand that petty shots are completely unnecessary.

That said, if what he said makes him a douchebag, how was your poster any better? (besides the fact that it's actually pretty funny )

All I'm saying is that everyone should give it a rest. As this shows, you never know when this will happen so your school in all likelihood isn't any better than anywhere else. This is a big, national, cultural problem that had no affiliation to any school, so cheap shots should probably be left out. That especially goes for us Montana fans.

Exactly. When schools go for the knockout blow (i.e. kicking someone off the team or even expelling them) on the basis of an arrest or a charge is asking lose millions in lawsuits if the dude is acquitted.

Yep. I always get kick out of statements like " X university has the doucheist fans". Every school has a bunch of douchey fans, but MOST of the fans at every school are fine.

I wasn't poking fun at the students, nor did I insinuate that they deserved what happened, unlike you. If you had half a brain, you'd notice that the poster was a slam against UM, as it included a bunch of UM athletes that have gotten into trouble over the last few years. The joke is comparing the UM football team to a football team full of criminals... get it!?
