Are some (online) Montana fans the worst people ever?

Just sayin'

Most Montana fans are in fact horrible people, but I still rate them as less horrible than fans of these schools:

Eastern Washington
Appalachian State
James Madison
Old Dominion
Villanova

As far as that rape story in Missoula, it sounds like that skank was asking for it in my humble opinion. Gotta feel sorry for that star QB being victimized by that little man-hater. I hope he can somehow put his life back together after this tragedy.

Why isn't Towson on your list, 93?

They only have one fan and he looks like Shrek, eats crabs with me, and gets me primo Phillies tickets for half price. There's nothing horrible about that.

I know you're speaking in terms of generalities, but I haven't seen anything bad coming from EWURanger or GAS. There may be some bad Griz fans aboard here, but for ever bad one, there are several good ones like the Grizomatic.

That said, I'm surprised you didn't try to bash Sac State fans because of the presence of ONE stupid one. I hope NOBODY tries to whitewash SD for the craziness I do, because his contributions on three boards (that I know of) is nothing short of stellar. We have other great contributors, too. PLEASE don't tar them for my occasional goofiness....

There's a difference between being one of the worst people in real life and being one of the worst people while posting on an internet forum. Some e-grizzers remove the filter that the average functioning member of society has in place. Most there know their shiznit and I will say I've had *mostly* positive experiences with the Griz (and egrizzers too) fans I've met over the years.

The only reason you see more stupidity there than a lot of other FCS fan forums is the Griz have enough fans that truly care or are just along for the ride/hopping on the bandwagon and are just looking for an excuse to be an ass on the internet. If another Big Sky Conference team goes 10+ years straight with playoff bids and has consistent home sell outs then you'd see that same crap going on in Sacramento, Portland, Cheney, Flagstaff, Ogden, Pocatello, etc.

Nah, they've just got big heads. But given the success of their team it's to be expected.

My only thing is I think they overvalue Montana's importance in the Big Sky. If Montana were to leave, the short term would be rough, but the long term would be better. It would allow other teams to grow, be successful, and build more of a fanbase. IMO if Montana were to go FBS it would strengthen other current programs in the Big Sky due to better league parity in football.

Parity doesn't help ANYONE. A leveled playing field just means EVERYONE sucks. It's better when you can get lower-performing teams to actually catch up to the front-runners....
