Was ready to play right away as a true freshman... rushed 101 times for 384 yards and four touchdowns... also caught seven passes for 65 yards... played in 10 games and had two starts... played through a nagging groin injury in the second half of the season... a knee injury in the tenth game ended his year... in his first game, rushed 16 times for 89 yards against Southern Oregon (9/3)... earned the start at TCU (9/24), rushing 28 times for 90 yards and a touchdown against one of the nation’s best defenses... in a start against Willamette (10/22), had 22 carries for 85 yards and a score... 13 rushes for 58 yards and two touchdowns against the defending national champion Eastern Washington Eagles (10/29).
