SHSU adds more depth to an already NASTY def.

The Kats have landed a DL from OKST who will add to what is already a nasty Bearkat Defense.

Diamonte Wheeler
Class: Sophomore
Hometown: Arlington, TX
High School: Bowie
Height / Weight: 6-2 / 285
Position: DT
One of several young tackles who will be looking to make an impact this fall.
2011 (Freshman): Saw action against Kansas and Louisiana.
2010: Redshirted his first year on campus.
High School: SuperPrep all-region selection as the No. 65 overall prospect in Texas ... A second-team selection on the Texas Super Team by Texas Football ... Also considered a top 25 defensive lineman by that publication ... Rated No. 59 among the nation's defensive tackles by Scout ... Rivals rated him No. 52 among America's tackles and No. 59 overall in the state of Texas ... Had 47 tackles and 11 sacks as a senior and 37 tackles and five sacks as a junior ... A two-time all-district pick ... A track athlete who earned all-district honors in the shot put.
And he doesn't have a criminal record, so Lamar wasn't interested.

LAMAR had already picked up couple Oklahoma State transfers before adding Herschel Sims. A fourth OSU player almost transferred but changed his mind at the last minute. Besides Sims and Dorsey, no other transfers on the team have been in any trouble. You should try to keep up with the facts.
